Results
Gadang reported 1QFY13 revenue of RM113.5m (+120% qoq, +>100%
yoy) and core net profit of RM7.2m (+107% qoq, +>100%yoy). 1QFY13
core net profit of RM7.2m met about 20% of our full-year forecast of
RM37m. We believe that earnings would pick up in the following quarters.
Earnings were boosted by higher contribution from its property
development segment. Pre-tax construction margin improved yoy due to
the commencement of the MRT construction jobs while the property
development margins remained flat.
Stock Impact
Construction orderbook remains healthy at RM1.26b. We estimate
construction revenue would make up 75% (RM344m) of FY13F total
revenue, with the bulk of it coming from the MRT project. Currently, the
company has an outstanding construction orderbook of RM1.4b. We
estimate these construction jobs would contribute about 7% EBIT margin.
Unbilled property sales of RM170m. This year, the group is targeting to
launch about RM425m worth of properties. This includes the
developments of Jentayu Residensi in Johor (72% take up), The Vyne in
Salak South (100% take-up ex Bumi lots) and the PR1MA housing
scheme.
Maintain BUY with a target price of RM1.50, based on 8x fully diluted
FY15F EPS, on a par with its FY12-13 average forward PE. Gadang has
the potential to re-rate upwards, driven by strong earnings growth visibility and lucrative concessions that provide stable cash flows. In a blue-sky scenario based on SOTP valuation, we believe the company could be
worth RM1.90/share.

Pelikan should climb higher after closing its highest in more than a week. A position can be initiated if it closes above MYR0.65, with a close below MYR0.60 as a stop-loss. The price target is at MYR0.90, if the MYR0.80 resistance is broken. A failure to get above MYR0.65, however, could see the stock trading sideways and the downside risk will increase if the stop-loss is triggered.

1Q good result is out... another 2 more good news coming:
1. The budget PRIMA affordable house angle sounds logical, they got first project last time in August, this evening hope got some good news.
2. AGM to pass through the final dividend 3 sen (usually will go through)
Recall last time I mention....
Got 3 reasons why one should closely monitor this stock:
1. Their 1Q result going to be announced soon, last year it was announced on 29 Oct... meaning this year must be announced before 31 Oct 2013 meaning another 9 days to go.
2. Yes, the budget PRIMA affordable house angle sounds logical.
3. Analyst Target Price is RM1.36 (so far only Kenanga write about this stock), still plenty of upside to go.
