KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 8): Eduspec Holdings Bhd's share price rose as much as one sen or 15% to 7.5 sen this morning ahead of the company's extraordinary general meeting (EGM) tomorrow, when shareholders are expected to vote on matters including the group's proposed diversification and bonus issue of warrants.

At 10:31am today, the education technology solutions and services provider's shares traded 0.5 sen higher at seven sen with some 77 million units transacted. Eduspec was the most-active stock across Bursa Malaysia.

Tomorrow, Eduspec will seek shareholders' approval for the company's planned diversification involving the development and operation of an edutainment theme park, according to the EGM notice.

The EGM notice also indicated that Eduspec will seek shareholders' approval for its planned bonus issue of up to 550.91 million warrants on the basis of one warrant for every two existing shares held.
