SHAH ALAM, 28 MAC : Empat bekas Pegawai Tinggi Pasukan Keselamatan akan memberi gambaran jelas berhubung insiden Lahad Datu yang dijadikan Umno-BN untuk menfitnah pemimpin Pakatan Rakyat.
Ahad ini, bertempat di Stadium Malawati, forum bertajuk ‘Lahad Datu : Rakyat Berhak Tahu’ menampilkan tiga bekas pegawai tinggi tentera, Lt. Jen. (B) Datuk Abd Ghafir Abd Hamid dari Angkatan Tentera Malaysia, Brig. Jen. (B) Datuk Abd Hadi Abd Khatab (TUDM) dan Laksamana Pertama (B) Imran Abd Hamid (TLDM).
Selain bekas pegawai tentera, seorang lagi panel ialah ACP (B) Mohd Yousoff Babjee yang pernah berkhidmat sebagai Ketua Cawangan Khas (SB) PDRM Sabah.
... Majlis dimulakan dengan solat hajat dan forum akan bermula tepat jam 9 malam.
Menurut Ahli Parlimen Sungai Petani, Datuk Johari Abdul dalam satu sidang media yang diadakan di Pejabat Ahli Parlimen Shah Alam pagi tadi, beliau akan bertindak sebagai moderator dalam forum itu nanti.
“Panelis ini juga akan menerangkan kesan dari penglibatan keterlaluan ahli politik dalam isu Lahad Datu dalam forum itu nanti.
“PR hargai pengorbanan pasukan keselamatan yang mengadaikan nyawa mereka demi tanah air, tetapi rakyat harus tahu isu sebenar,” kata Johari.

Sementara itu, Ahli Parlimen Shah Alam, Khalid Samad dalam sidang media sama memberitahu sebelum forum dijalankan, majlis tersebut akan dimulakan dengan sembahyang maghrib berjemaah dan sembahyang hajat.
“Munajat kita selama ini mula memberi kesan kepada Umno-BN, sebab itu mereka semakin tertekan sehingga tidak nampak tarikh sesuai untuk membubarkan parlimen,” kata Khalid.
Forum yang diadakan pada sebelah malam itu nanti boleh diikuti secara langsung melalui TV Selangor di http://www.selangorku.com/TV Selangor.
Selain TV Selangor, media lain yang juga akan mengadakan siaran langsung, Ehsan TV, Impian TV, Ubah TV, Radia Suara Rakyat FM dan Radio Bangsar Utama.

Nurul Izzah Sues EC Over Electoral Roll


PETALING JAYA: PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar has filed a suit against the Electoral Commission (EC) and the National Registration Department (NRD) for not effectively cleaning up the electoral roll.

The Lembah Pantai MP alleged that there were numerous voter discrepancies in her area, including over 4,500 voters with incomplete or unknown addresses and three voters who were already dead.

There were also 133 people who are not residents of the area listed as voters, she said, adding that the suit was filed at the Kuala Lumpur High Court on Monday.

"We sent a letter to the EC but they have not dealt with the situation, and say they are still looking into it," she said at a press conference at the PKR HQ here Wednesday.

Also filing the suit was Kadir Sultan Abd Majid, a voter in the Lembah Pantai constituency who said he just wanted "clean and fair elections".

Respondents are the EC, its chief registrar, the NRD, and the Government.
