I remember Bursa publishing its daily and monthly ADTV, in its website. Is it still being published? I tried to search for it, but couldn't locate it.

No one uses ROE for the glove sector. Banks yes. Must know where and when to apply such metrics.
How can cash be a burden? With that cash pile, Co valuation is cheap.
It has lots of options: can do M&A, can pay out special div, can expand, can spend on more automation/optimisation, can earn more interest income. Co has more potential with such a huge cash pile. Its called a warchest for a reason.
Business has pretty much recovered. With the upswing in earnings, the growth part of the equation returns. Oh but earnings not good enough. Really? 1Q24 is 33% of Maybank's estimates (that's a beat). Kossan just needs to continue beating estimates and sellside will continue upgrading.

1. TA is not a predictive tool. Anyone who says it is predictive don't understand what TA is all about.
2. Who says we can't change our mind? Who says we can't change our minds quickly? If the facts change, we change our view.

The share price weakness is a buying opportunity. Scale entries. Those selling on the way down have no clue about the structural and fundamental aspects of the global oil complex. In fact, I'll be happy for it to go much lower. The main risk with this counter is actually management. They have not delivered.

Same comment I posted on Rubberex forum:
Gloves was a fling, maybe a one night stand. Stop your love affair with gloves.
Even if the pandemic continues for another 5 years, we will not see a spike in ASPs like what we saw last year. There are no more surprises.
Countries have secured supply. The knee jerk panic buying which led to the rise in ASPs is over.
I'm not making fun of gloves. I made money from it too. But the facts are there; the supercycle for gloves was short and it is now over.

If govt announce total lockdown or whatever version of MCO, people will rush to stock up. Now already long queue at my neighbourhood supermarket.
Other sectors will bleed but this will be up.

The good news for those stuck is price fall is not as steep vs previous days and with declining volume. So maybe already bottom or close to.
The bad news is sharks are probably out and the game is over so share price is not gonna go anywhere.
Now those stuck will pray/hope there is one more pump left. Good luck!

MGO because crossed the 33% threshold for PACs. Intend to maintain listing so offer of RM0.60 is purposely low. If they offer much higher and many accept the offer, how are they gonna maintain listing?

LOL go check my old comments on Sardin. I've been calling him out since last year.
All he talks about is Borsig. Like it will magically create revenue and profit.
As I've said before, KNM needs earnings expansion. If earnings don't grow, forget about share price going anywhere.
Will be range bound forever.

GDP is already expected to be bad so nothing unexpected there. This is a well-known fact.
GDP for Sg, UK, US, etc all reported crazy low numbers but all were expected. Msia will be the same.
Most selling/profit-taking have been going on since last Friday. The market doesn't wait for news to take action, it reacts ahead of time. Once the GDP numbers are out, the market will buy...any weakness is a buying opportunity.

Anyone here actually have real evidence of the ethanol profit contribution to KNM's bottomline? Not just simply talk.

Many don't know the history of this Co.
William is a self made entrepreneur. He started the Co from the ground up. In his expansion plans many years ago, he already said China would be one of the export markets. The other was Indonesia. So this contract was probably something the Co has been working on for a while.
Of course we need to do our homework. But it's also good to know the history of the Co. This is not an overnight story.
Don't forget substantial shareholders are Msian GICs (PNB & MTDC). MTDC has been an early stage investor in the Co (long before IPO).
Also don't forget the Co has halal certification for its products. Potential markets such as the Middle East could be huge. Some things take time.
If you get a chance, have a chat with William. He may change your mind about the Co.

Also the Negeri Sembilan royalty has not sold any shares. Still holds close to 28% in the Co.
All public info. Just have to do some research.
I think this Co is a worth a second look.

After Supermax's results, it was expected for Topglove to beat estimates. Just a matter of by how much. But too bad results announced as global markets decide to correct today.

Each stock in a portfolio has a weightage, each sector has a weightage.
So for eg, if a money manager has a 10% cap on exposure to a single stock (different internal policies and SOPs for different firms), money managers have to gradually unload stocks in their portfolios as the stock price goes up as it will breach the 10% cap. So the more the price goes up, you will see more gradual selling.
You may also see some buying from the same party for other portfolios.
So they're not stupid as you may think.
It's just Portfolio Management 101.

PE is based on YoY growth (12 months), not QoQ growth.
Forward 12-months is looking like >100% earnings growth. After that?
Even if we add a 'scarcity premium' to gloves, 100x PE is excessive.
There is always mean reversion.
OK lah just for fun, state your TP.
I say Supermax tops out around RM8.50 - RM9.00.
Fast forward 12 months we'll see who got it right.
2020-05-24 20:11 | Report Abuse
For PE, look at the 5-year historical mean. Anything above 2.5 S.D. will be excessive. 100x PE will surely be excessive.
25-30x PE is fair.

Talib, you make valid points. But the main difference between Supermax and Hengyuan is this: structural change.
Hengyuan was a one-off.
Covid-19 has changed the way the whole world functions. You talk about Spain opening up to tourists. Will you dare fly? If you're willing to go, have fun. But many will not.
Apparently 1 Utama is packed with people. But everyone is wearing a mask. EVERYONE. This is structural change. Until there is a successful vaccine, people are gonna wear masks.
Same with gloves. All medical personnel in hospitals will wear gloves. F&B people will wear gloves. Countries will want to have a stockpile of gloves as a precaution for future events. Even if covid disappears next month, the demand for gloves will continue to increase because society has changed.
Structural change. Remember this.

Good to look at risks and mitigating factors.
Cons:
- Vaccine: We all want a vaccine but the fact is no matter what good news comes out, it will take time to mass produce. Until that happens, the threat of new waves of covid remains.
- Other global suppliers: Msia has "cornered" the global market. Even if we take 60% of global market share, that's a huge chunk of the pie. China is out of the equation because they screwed up with their supply of PPE. Trust and credibility issues with China products. US, UK, Europe for sure won't source from them.
- Raw material: Oil price spike remains a potential threat (butadiene related to oil price? can someone confirm this please.). But this would mean demand accelerates. The current rebound in oil price is mostly due to supply side reduction and China demand. Factories opening, cars getting back on the road, etc. But remember this is from a very low base. Demand is not going to go back to pre-Covid levels anytime soon. Eventually there'll be oversupply as demand won't be strong enough. Oil price will fall again.
Utility prices: Expect to remain accommodative. Don't expect any gas or power rate hikes.
Pros:
- Demand: Earnings visibility until 1Q21. Conservatively. This is mainly for medical purposes.
- Demand from other sectors: Retail and F&B demand going forward. Even after covid, healthcare will be more enhanced. More gloves required.
- ASP price hikes: Some on a monthly basis
- Interest rates: Low and expected to remain low for some time = finance cost savings.
- Favourable FX: Strong USD
So the MAIN RISK is the successful creation of a vaccine that can be mass produced.

Instead of saying "please don't sell" which sounds negative and desperate, why don't you all say "BUY now"?
Bloody clowns support the counter, talk all kinds of nonsense about Borsig soooo damn good, etc but don't have the balls to call a BUY when it matters.
BUY la people. Now is when you buy. Don't buy at 0.40 like what Sardin asked you to.
2020-03-11 11:34 | Report Abuse
Keep and earn more? Those who bought at 0.40, even if they keep and KNM recover to 0.30, they still lose. What earn more you talking about?
LOL still wanna blame IDSS? Sardin is like Trump, always pointing the finger at someone/something else.
2020-03-10 18:38 | Report Abuse
Sardin, YOU should be asking people to buy now. Why aren't you calling a buy? Stop blaming IDSS. People are -63% down. Now they need KNM to go up 167% just to breakeven.
And you can't say people buy at their own risk. Some here are seasoned investors but I'm sure many here are newbies. They would actually listen to what people are saying and buy into stocks. Now they've learned the hard way because of the nonsense you've been saying.
All you've done is talk about Borsig but the actual fact is Borsig and KNM is nothing without earnings. The share price will move up once earnings improve and margin expansion happens.
Also you think IDSS players are so dumb to push down a stock that is already so low? So IDSS push down from 0.40?
LOL admit your mistake for making people lose money.
