Anyone here can roughly calculate or estimate the price of KHSB if taken private? ..taken into account that it's NTA is 79.75 cents, it's land bank had not been revalued for a few years .....so your guess please & we look forward to it. I say it's between 80 to 90 cents...maybe $1++ hee, hee, hee

This morning KHSB opens in the positive territory but still people wait & see. Buying percentage is still good at 51%. Let's hope that it will sky rocket to 54 cents today...hopefully off course.

Positive, but no change to our FY11-12 earnings forecasts. This
is because we had earlier factored in some orderbook replenishment for the company.

Orderbook bloats to RM610m. This amount is expected to keep the company busy for the next 1-2 years.

Still a potential merger and acquisition (M&A) target. Although the flow of M&A news has come to a trickle, especially since the European debt crisis worsened, we still believe that the possibility of Coastal being an M&A target will resurface in the coming months. Our view is premised on 3 factors: i) the stock’s valuation is attractive, which increases Coastal’s appeal as a takeover target, ii) it has a strategic asset in its 100-acre shipbuilding yard, which can be converted into an O&G facility for fabrication or even to carry out repair and maintenance jobs, and iii) this yard is located in Sandakan, Sabah where most of the deepwater activities would be centered in the future.
A deepwater story for 2013. We believe that 2012 would still be a year for marginal oilfields but looking beyond that, we see the theme for 2013 to be one of deepwater activities, especially with the Gemusut deepwater O&G field expected to be ready for production by then. By that time, the Malikai O&G field should also be set for production, with most of these activities centered on Sabah state. This will provide the impetus to convert Coastal’s yard into a fabrication or repair and maintenance yard as this makes great business sense from the timeliness and cost viewpoint.

Maintain Buy. Our fair value for Coastal remains unchanged at RM3.00, based on the existing PER of 7x FY12 earnings.

Brother Adam Ryan, next month quarter report will be out. So maybe a interim TE dividend of about 27% for Coastal as like last year. Yes, in March this year Coastal should be giving a dividend as usual...correct me if I am wrong please. So how to go down to $1.80 but going up to $2.00++? ...hee, hee, hee

Alamak , gone down to 49 cents. Have faith brother Johnking as KPS said that they had the mandate from the directors to look into the possibility of taking KHBS private. KPS & KHSB had been queried by SC on the news report and they said in the affirmative.

Part some at 51.5 cents as I bought in more today at 48.5 cents. Still holding plenty too.

Seems like everyone is taking profit. So going higher is a bit problem though but then who can predict.

Friends, there are so many counters to invest in Bursa but why pick those lousy money losing companies to invest when some blogger recommends & says so? Oh, brother Johnking , you were taken for a cleaning job indeed by McClean as the name suggest...lol. One more thing, never trust these new IPOs listing as some may give a very good earnings report which may prove to be not true later & when you invest, your money gone down the drain. Take another case in XOX, going for IPO , give very good forecast profit but 1 day before listing, inform that it suffer very bad losses & the SC just close on eye to allow it to be listed...OMG. In fact SC should stop XOX from being listed and demand that they refund back investors money but this is not the case lah. Malaysia BOLEH!!!

And brother ramunia,so sorry to hear that you make losses mostly & please don't invest in those lousy cheap stocks that had very very low NTA, extreme high PERatio & whose quarters reports are always in the RED.....yes, EPS is all nothing to show. These are meant to be goreng by the sharks & it's proxies & once you are caught & there's no way you can recover your losses. So please invest with care & please don't follow blindly what some bloggers write and as most people say some bloggers wrote bullshit. Please be money smart as it's your hard earn money where you slog to earn it. Never trust anyone, including me, as we all are "faceless internet users" & there's no way we know who are they & their motives. Do some homework please before you invest in any counters. Bull this morning I presume as all Europe is up 1.4% to2.9%. Well this speaks well indeed. And as now DJ is up as now at about 66+ points & we may see more upward movement at closing time which is about 3 hours away. DJ has rose to a 5 month high due to it's good import data from China...so today KHSB cheong lah I presume. Good luck to all too.

If you read what I wrote yesterday that KPS had also been mandated to study the feasibility of taking KHSB private you will understand that all possibilities are there indeed.

Hopefully tomorrow morning there are strong supporters buying higher & not dumping lah.

Brother chia12122, even a TP of $2.50 is good enough for me. Just look at it's excellent EPS & it's giving excellent dividends too. PERatio is a wonderful low around 4...what else can we ask for. Think it's starting to move already....hope tomorrow it moves to higher ground too.

Son CA buying support is at a high of 67%. Coastal still got good support today too. TP of $3 is very tempting indeed.

Today early morning seller scared and so sell plenty to take profit but now it's up 0.5 cent...more to come.

Buy Zelan today, more upward swing. TP at the moment 43-45 cents.

KPS said it had been mandated by its board of directors to
explore and evaluate the available options to enhance or revive its investments, which might include a reorganisation and restructuring of its investments and mergers, acquisitions or divestments of its non-performing investments.

As part of the available options to enhance or revive its investments, the company said it had also been mandated to study the feasibility of taking KHSB private.


So the possibility is there as KPS owns KHSB. I leave it to you to interpret it. Don't worry Ramunia as I feel there's still room to move up but then I may be wrong too. Cheers & a Happy CNY to you too.
