KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 9): Uzma Bhd has been awarded three umbrella contracts by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) for the provision of electrical submersible pump (ESP) and services to the latter, according to a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

- we downgrade the stock to MP with unchanged TP of RM1.65 pegged to 1.0x FY19E PBV.

Public Bank - A Stronger Quarter

We cut FY17-18 earnings by 7% and 1% respectively after imputing lower construction margins. Given the high base and timing gap on newly secured jobs, we expect earnings to remain flat in FY17 before picking up again in FY18. Rating Maintain BUY, TP: RM1.89
Whilst earnings may have hit a temporary plateau, we expect growth to resume in FY18. Valuations are undemanding at FY17-18 P/E of 9.3x and 8x respectively. Mitrajaya?s net land value of RM638m backs up 68% of its market capitalisation.

Maintain buy with an unchanged target price of RM1.95: Mitrajaya Holdings Bhd recently announced that it had won a contract to build a higher-learning institution in Kuala Lumpur for RM160 million. The job is scheduled to be completed within two years (May 2019). This contract is Mitrajaya’s second job win for the year. Recall that last month, Mitrajaya secured a RM274 million Bank Negara Malaysia-related job for “A Centre of Excellence” building in Kuala Lumpur. Overall, this brings year-to-date (YTD) job wins to RM434 million.
