All so confident of the 25c?
Mmm not sure how to interpret today's action.
1) MCT historically, have a lot of 'traders' that'll easily take profit 1-2 bids, or cut loss 1-2 bids, that's why it's very very hard to escape the 17.5 - 18.5 range.... go up from 16.5 to 17.5, the 17.5 buyers will cut loss down to 16.5 etc etc..
2) The volume in 19.5 and 20 cent is a very very good sign, over 20 million traded in each of these prices. IF these 40+ million shares is bought by someone with good holding power/long term view, it's a game changer for MCT, as the stocks supply in the hands of flippers will be significantly reduced...
I guess we will know in 2 days time, if the profit takers/cut losers will show their hand.

I believe MCT will be a great beneficiary from the HSR project, it's really like durian runtuh, as even without the HSR, they're relatively OK.
The HSR if it's progressing, will certainly drive up the land values in cyberjaya, as long term wise it will encourage more MNCs to setup office in KL South/Cyber area all along the track.
Low downside risk, due to the long term support at 16 cent. you'll lose 3 bids of paper loss, with very good upside potential, as it can easily go back to 25-35 cents.

Hard to escape this cycle if got 'investors' keep willing to cut loss and sell it back to 17, 17.5 after buying it for a few days...

To the new shareholders, welcome, and hold on to your shares ffs' lol.. don't cut loss have patience and u'll be hugely rewarded in the next 1 years.
But i guess everybody is trying to make a quick buck and will sell in 1 week -_-

I wonder who is still buying meridian shares.... you realize that there's 0 business (operations) income, the previous Seth Yap with the so called tourism city project has sold out all his shares.. (Limited future earnings visibility)
The price way exceeds their NAPS... seriously, the only reason the share price is still high is due to somewhat strong holding power of whoever that is still holding the shares.
And they're again asking more money 30% from the shareholders...
Once the selling starts, it'll get real ugly real fast... my 2c....

The uptrend was broken yesterday, to me prices above 1.30 is purely traded on technical basis d... not much fundamentals to support. If you're buying above 1.30, my advice is, you should know what your doing and note your risks accordingly.
After the downtrend yesterday, sure it can go up higher today.. but overall i'll say the downside risk is higher in the immediate term... if this 2-3 days don't go above 1.65, a lot of ppl will be cutting loss, or taking profit and the selling pressure will be higher.

RM 1.69, 50% of yesterday's volume, 36million shares, transacted at half day, at profit taking/cut loss prices.. very healthy accumulation of volume.

Up to now, uptrend is still intact.
As of yesterday, 10.30AM RM 1.67 @ 19.5million volume
Today 10.30AM RM 1.67 @ 20.8million volume.
It's kind of a healthy profit taking happening, even if today closes at 1.70 again with another 50 million shares, that's still a very healthy accumulation/after absorbing the profit taking that's happening, with 120 million shares transacted.

MCT has a big landbank in CyberSouth there, that's still pending development... the HSR project revival will be a gold mine to MCT, assuming 16.5c long term support, vs 25, 30cent target price, risk to reward ratio is good.

in times like this, you really need to be certain of what you're buying.
Sure got vaccine news, but besides vaccine. Fundamentally, IOIPG earned 3.49 in its latest quarter.. this is with the IOI MALL and IOI Hotels not doing well.
3.49*4*10 = This alone, is worth 1.40
Assuming property business maintain performance, and mall + hotel recover after vaccine, easily EPS is 3.8*4*10 = 1.52
If you add vaccine as another 10cent, 1.62
My above calculation is with just PE 10 ya, if u multiply PE 12, it'll be easily RM 2. But the question is, can you wait until then... or should you wait until then

can it close at 131 today with 10 million volume.... the good thing with the current uptrend is, on a daily basis, profit taking is happening... so the buy/sell is actually quite balanced.. and it's not a big pump, and then suddenly a very big selloff. Closing 130+ today will still support the uptrend.

insider info, news or no news, the technical indicators are very strong yesterday, a gap up with huge volume, + 3 white candles, a close of 1.25-1.28 ish today with around 5 million volume will still keep the uptrend intact... currently under selling pressure, will the 1.22 support hold until 12.30

Good in the sense that
1) QoQ, Revenue increased 300% and Profit increased 400%
The balance sheet is very very strong.
1) Cash and Bank balance of 0.53 billion
2) Decrease of 16m to amount owed to holding company.
Not so good is
PnL is still negative, mainly because of repayment to holding company.
It's improving in balance sheet and assets, and in the coming 6 months, the earnings and PnL will be very very good.

Wish they would just sell off all their land and close shop..
The directors just sitting there getting paid and not doing anything to improve their condition for the 2nd year in a row already. Money from their current project in kepong is not even enough to pay the directors wages i guess...
Just sell of the piece of land in Shah Alam and pay off the loans to reduce the finance charges if they are just gonna sit on the land and pay finance charges for nothing.

No MGO, just halt to give u chance to read AR and QR that they were late in submitting.. only submit this morning.
Hold or dispose is up to ur investment time/risk profile.
Their QR loss is mainly due to forex hedging, if RM weaken, the hedge will lose money.
From 31st Dec to 31st March RM weakend from 4.09 to 4.31 thus the hedge loss.
Assuming RM move within +- 5% from now, we can expect there's minimal hedge gain and loss every quarter from now on. The hedge is mostly a paper loss at this moment. But the weaker RM do mean, higher interest paid to holding company.
You're investing in the property sector Ravindran, and we all know the sector overall is still in the consolidation stage, possibly 1 year more for the V to begin..
However, considering also that we're at the bottom of property cycle, and MCT is still able to generate good sales, and profit.. this is actually commendable.
Their upcoming projects in PJ and SJ should also be of higher margin as it's in a hot and desirable area.
If you're talking about 3 months time frame, it's a sell-hold decison
3-6 months, ~ grey area here...
6-12 months, surely a hold, as the profit will kick in from their new projects.

both seller and buyers is institutes, 60 millions shares traded today, how many retailers have 60 millions of shares to sell.
More importantly, in this bear age, how many retailers can have 100 million to buy LC today? even if you say sharks and syndicates, do they really play at the 100m ranges? This is just today's volume only.
If add in the total 4 days of huge buy volume, that's 180m shares, * 1.5 average price.. 240million in total !! A quarter of a billion ringgit leh... it's beyond sharks or syndicate level already i think

not really xterror, you cannot just calculate like that, when the cost of production is lower, this is applicable to LC's competitors as well, they will reduce their selling prices accordingly, and LC will reduce their selling price too.
You can't just assume that a drop in 40% will result in 40% increase of margin.

What i want to say is, as 2018 AR report, top 30 share holders owned 95.2% of the shares.
And in just these 4 days' trading volume, 7.5% of total shares is traded.
95.2+7.5% exceed 100% of the shareholding already...
So it's possible that top 30 shareholders now even hold 100% of the entire shareholding spread.
These 4 days trading volume is certainly not done by you or me.....
When top 30 shareholders owns 98-99% of the shares, the share price will be very very steady, especially considering they have the holding power and is looking at 1-2 years time frame of investment.
