Who wrote this? sectionanalyst or an investment bank?
Just wondered how the writer knew the plant utilisation figures for August.

If shutdown were at Petron Malaysia's refinery, would revenue have gone up?

In response to reports published by the media, CAE confirms it is in advanced discussions with AirAsia to conclude a sale and purchase agreement for CAE to acquire AirAsia's 50% share of the Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence Sdn. Bhd. JV. CAE's relationship with AirAsia began in 2004 and with this agreement, it would expand with a contract for all AirAsia training requirements and that of its affiliates, in support of all the aircraft types it operates for an extended term. The transaction is subject to the successful conclusion of a sale and purchase agreement between the parties.

Why did you selectively use data up to 2016 only, with 0 mention of 2017?
How about Q1/3/17 PAT plunged by 50% YoY. That's not relevant even to bring up?
2017-08-11 22:14 | Report Abuse
As you last predicted Mycron's PAT for Q1/3/17 would be RM18.9 mil but actual was RM7.3 mil, why do you think as an outsider, you can calculate Hengyuan's Q2 with such precision?

That would be a socialist welfare system. That's not the govt's job, which is more to build infra although in this case, the cost is greatly pumped up to benefit certain parties.

RM25 mil operating cashflow you mentioned and extrapolated is not operating.
If PBT is RM8 mil, how can cashflow be so high as RM25 mil?
It's from collection of receivables, not something recurring every Q.
This is very misleading.

Mr Pink, a very detailed analysis. Would Capital City be completed this year or next?
Would it then mean that Gadang's property earnings would be much lower in 2018 or 2019?
If that were the case, valuations would have to be adjusted for FY18 or FY19.

My comments were not a critique. I brought up unusual stuff here because Careplus is the subject here, not Eversendai. It's not double standards as I've not even looked into the latter.
To put it into perspective, my view is Icon8888 writes excellent analyses.

Pohuat does upgrade machinery to improve efficiency. It spent RM8 mil in the last FY on purchase of property, plant n equipment. This may enhance its bottom line.

Careplus has a loan of RM65 mil to a related party, an increase of RM10 mil YoY.
This is larger than even its paid-up capital.
There may be a good reason for this, otherwise it sounds problematic and even suspicious.

If true, something to look forward to. Ryanair market cap is 22 bil euros, AirAsia is RM10 bil.
But Ryanair collects fares in euros, so if we don't convert, AirAsia can aim for RM22 bil market cap!

If you borrowed USD to buy a house in Malaysia, how is that a "non-cashflow" item now? What about in future?
Yes, it generates cashflow in Asian currencies, but that'll have to used to pay off loans in USD.

You highlighted net profit increased 92% YoY.
You don't think it relevant to mention the 92% increase is mainly due to a low base caused by deferred tax in Q2/12/15?
Operating profit in Q2/12/16 was RM13.9 mil vs Q2/12/15's RM11.8 mil.
Not so dramatic, no 92% increase.

We know pricing is forward looking, but why did you think it not relevant to remark on its latest reported results.
Its Q1/6/17 GP was lower YoY, and EPS was only 0.13 sen.
Historical PE, annualising from that is 75 times.
If you think earnings would move forward dramatically from Q2/9, you didn't bother to address that. So why bother to write with FA?
