Lets look back at its 5 yr historical performance.
In 19Feb2009, its price was 0.94.
Say you bought 1000 shares at Rm940.
In 5Mar2012, it gave a bonus 1:1
So now you have 2000 shares at Rm940.
Price now is Rm3.70 or for Rm940, what you have now is Rm3700x2=Rm7400 for holding it for 5 years.
I did not include its hefty dividends. If it is included. what do you think. Its a five year 10 bagger

CBIP is led by a very capable management. Its value increases year by year, rather than falling back on its shareholders and investors for fresh funds in the name of rights, loan stocks, etc etc. It gives back to its shareholders more than many other companies, why? because its management are also major shareholders. You can see their business are improving, in the coming years, this plantation (big) will be a major earner besides the other line of business that they have. Please be reminded too that they have also make some inroads into the OnG sector. They have done a lot of homework.

An EGM on this is called on 18/2/14. Circular has already been send to shareholders. Shareholders will give the approval for the split and bonus, after which the BOD will set the Ex date. We should know the ex dat latest by end of this month, going by previous situations.

skyhigh, just an unconfirm opinion that they are still selling Treasury shares. The sell q is most of the time high. Wonder if they are selling in order to have funds to launch their projects. Nothing wrong with that, just the share price unable to move up.

I do agree with you. Year after year, they produce good results even while they are keeping the land. Perhaps, we need a longer time frame holding it, but reading what you all contribute is very convincing. I haven't take up any position yet, as the price had run up.
