Just wait patiently for the Commercial operation of heap leaching plant, if u observe the last page of QR, there is a section for gold mining capex allocation, compare to last qtr, there is about 2.3mil+ fund utilised, this is for the new heap leaching pilot plant. They still have 20mil+ left to be utilised for gold mining, if the pilot plant work well, the management will ramp up production quickly. Also there is 10mil allocate for their limestone mining activity, I'm sure it will be implemented soon as well.

Like what bro bonus said earlier, we are overoptimistic and hope to get some superb outstanding results in this QR, Thus most of us get disappointed. In fact it is A good results, just not good enough to push the share to 30sen. (Somehow we lost in our own fantasy and hope the company can create so much profit in a short timeframe).

But when u look at it clearly in the QR, U will find the gem. The management also addin more info into the report to make value investor aware of what happening behind. Looking forward cautiously for Q3 :D

On trading side, Q3 results is secured partly by the gold sold on August( that is 300kg+).
On F&B, historically the profit would increase a lot in Q3 n even much much higher in Q4, not sure what is the reason. But at least that is proven in last few years.

Acmilan, agreed. I'm surprise when see their PBT margin of 84%! That's extremely high! Not sure it is due to technology use or what. Hopefully the new heap leaching plant also hv similar margin

Anyway, F&B worst than last year, most likely due to opening of new outlet.
Q1 is good becoz gold price increase a lot in feb, but the inventory didn't increase much, we can assume that most of the gold bought at low price were sold back at high price, no net accumulation of gold inventory.
In Q2, gold price shoot up in July due to Brexit. But the inventory increase significantly, that mean most of the gold bought are not sold to market. N they cannot record the trading profit in this s latest result.
In August the inventory reduce down to 600kg. So I would expect good performance in Q3.

My comment on bornoil in other forum. But in Chinese.
成绩单出来了。F&B 有点差，比去年还低。Mining 部分比上一季度少了不少，必须更正之前的预测。Q1 虽然二月份黄金价格涨，但是黄金库存没有涨很多，估计都是在低价买然后也在高价卖了一部分，所以都record 进Q1 profit 了。 但到了Q2，7月份因为Brexit 价格高涨时候，黄金库存也增加了很多，这些低价买的黄金大部分还没卖出去，所以这个季度的业绩没Q1理想。下个季度会不错，因为库存在8月份降低了很多。
只能等下个季度来确认了。

I would give more time for bornoil to build up their Bukit Ibam n merapoh mining capacity so that they have strong recurring income flow in future.

From the results,seems like they will only record their gold trading profit after it is sold. So the low price gold they collected during month July is not realize in this qtr results. It will shown in next qtr, where they reduce the holding to 600+kg in aug.

From my point of view, if the result is good, the stock will certainly fly next week. If not good, Mayb will drop a little bit back to 17sen level.

r3490, nothing is guarantee :) but I would rather buy n hold a company with good prospect rather than a goreng stock with no fundamental. Everyone hv their own investing philosophy, no right or wrong.

Relax guys, gold price at end of July is at the highest compare to previous months in 2016. And they hv increase their gold inventory significantly in July to 900+kg, I believe they hv collect it during the small gold price correction in July before its shooting up again at end of July. Together with the increase amount of gold mine in last few months (min4kg each month), I'm confident n optimistic with the results. Let's just wait for the results later this evening!

FYI, gold mining PBT margin is close to 82%(can't remember exact figure) according to their announcement Last month.

Anyway, to answer your question, I Personally think that gold will be a good hedging for this upcoming crisis. All central banks are printing money crazily. China are reducing their USD reserve n increase their gold reserve, Russia also did that.

If China property bubble collapse(,not sure will happen or not, China is special economy system), what do u think the ordinary ppl will do to protect their wealth? I think lot of them will change their money to physical Gold n keep at home! Remember in China u cannot simply change your money to oversea currency, there is limitation...

ngjheng, the trailing EPS is approx 0.7sen... if include dilution from WB conversion(expire in 2018) it is approx 0.695sen... if included full dilution from WC(expire in 2025), it is approx 0.5sen...
dont think ppl will convert WC anytime sooner, still very very long to expiry...

Actually, Bornoil got another potential hidden catalyst... their limestone land in eastern Sabah which est to hv 20mil MT of limestone... if the PAN Borneo project start, mayb this could feed the limestone supply?
