Last quarterly report (30 Sept 2016): Construction segment revenue 426.2 million and loss before tax of 31.7 million.

Does this show they can generate profit from their construction segment? All construction companies are facing razor thin margins due to the reducing number of projects and the fact that pricing is now very competitive.

So, how much profit or loss do you think the company will incur on their RM 810 million Zenith BUGC project and the RM 1.325 billion Pan Borneo Highway packages? The last I heard, even IJM is thinking of giving up on their Pan Borneo Highway package.

Guys, look carefully at how the news article is crafted - the sale from Mulpha Infrastructure (one of the holding companies) to Dataran Sentral (another holding company) which is supposedly controlled by Ng Ying Loong and Anto Joseph.

First of all, do check who really controls Dataran Sentral. Note that Mulpha Infrastructure has sold many times before this including MCB's director Wee Teck Nam.

Don't you think there is an effort to try and create the impression that there is a base price ie 90 sen, for the counter ie to prevent it from falling further (as I am sure most of the shares in the holding companies are held on margin financing).

I wrote previously back in late 2014, when the counter was well above RM 2.00, that the stock was on a downtrend and that if it breached 1.80, it would fall to a long term support of 1.10, which unfortunately has also been breached.

The reasons given then are still the same today and the company is still fire fighting.

Johnny Cash who is active here may remember what I said then. After which I did not post here again as too many people were offended by the assessment.

And do take note that Fairfax holds about 80 million shares but they have stopped averaging down since March 2016. What happens if they capitulate?

Construction projects are all about kang tao. Being well run doesn't mean that the company will automatically get project, most certainly not in Malaysia.

About the Indian IPP - its already been how many years???, haha!! If still cannot get the turbines fired after so long, then there is obviously something seriously wrong with the company.

By the way, the new CEO has no previous experience in the power industry and is unfortunately rated as a very big NATO fella.Have any of you heard of him previously in corporate circles??

The few remaining staff who are familiar with power plant construction will probably leave the company as they are not being included in the new CEO's inner circle.

Noted, Cap tm932. If RM is in the USD Index, it would be 3.80 by now. I normally use the USD Index as a guide to see what is happening in the RM (it does track the USD quite closely).

And of course look at the USD Index - it is already 95.3 but the RM is still at 3.60 (it should have dropped to 3.70 by now). So, if BNM is not intervening, then foreign funds must be inflowing!!

And yes, Connie - do take note of LME aluminum prices as I highlighted earlier. It is starting to fall!!!

Copper has plunged in recent weeks due to the unwinding of commodity financing deals.

Aluminum has however been stable even though it is one of the metals employed in commodity financing deals (where Goldman Sachs, JPM and Glencore tried to corner the commodities market).

Huge amounts of aluminum are currently stored in LME warehouses and small amounts are trickling into the market. It is expected that this will start building over the few weeks and that is when you will see a waterfall drop in aluminum prices.

May be wise to avoid aluminum stocks!!!

Cap tm932 - Re 5085, it has dropped to 2.00 and may drop further due to bad news on the captive coal block licence. If the institutionals again start selling, I think even 1.80 may not hold.

pzul - Itu bas dah jatuh longkang kuat turun Genting, I pun takut main. Next stop platform 34.5 and then 32.5 and if it doesn't rebound from the gap up at 32.5, then you could even be seeing 26sen.

Note that 47sen is its previous high before it tested 48/48,5 sen on Thursday. If volume is still good next week, it appears it will continue its upward journey.

Since breaking out at 41sen on 12/09, the counter has been trending upwards with decent volume.

Yesterday, it managed to close the gap up at 45.5/46.0 and closed green at 47sen.

I'm having a problem reading the waves for Ifcamsc. It is supposed to be in an ABC correction but it has recently closed the gap up at 39.5/42 and it has penetrated resistance at 43 sen and has stayed above this level even with selling last "Fearful Friday".

Would this warrant a wave recount? Candlesticks array show that short term, it is still in a bullish continuation pattern.

Volume only picked up the last 2 days but even then, the volume is not considered heavy.
