Been collecting SCIB since last two months. What I like about this counter is that the number of shares are around 122M only and this is the first time they are announcing bonus issue with warrants. I have high hope for this share. Not to mention the contracts that they successfully bagged.

Kindly be advised that at the request of JFTECH, trading in the Company's shares will be suspended with effect from 9.00 a.m, Monday, 26 October 2020 pending a material announcement.

When the bonus & warrants to be credited to our account are easy to understand but when actually can sell our shares to be entitled to the bonus & warrant is still unclear. The statement that was given :

Therefore, based on the timeline announced, shareholders of ESCERAM cannot sell the Bonus shares on Ex-date of 14 Oct 2020 until the shares are credited into shareholders’ CDS accounts.

It does not clearly state if we were to sell our underlying shares today or tomorrow will we still entitle to the bonus & warrants

Received news from my broker :

Further to the email below on the Ex-date of Bonus issue for ESCERAM, we received some enquiries and wish to make the following clarification :

(i) Usually for Bonus issue, shareholders can sell the bonus shares on the Ex-date.
However, as per announcement by ESCERAM to Bursa Malaysia, the date of listing of the Bonus and Warrant shares for ESCERAM will be on 26 October 2020.
Therefore, based on the timeline announced, shareholders of ESCERAM cannot sell the Bonus shares on Ex-date of 14 Oct 2020 until the shares are credited into shareholders’ CDS accounts.

That's one of the reason this shares suddenly spiked up, as most sellers got caught selling their shares and now trying to buy back to avoid any buying in.

Lets do some conservative calculation
Let say purchase @ yesterday's closing price @ 1.38
1.38 x 10,000 = RM13,800

Sold 20,000 @ 0.73 = RM14,600
Let say ... sold 10,000 Esceram-Warrants @ 0.50 = RM5,000

Total sales ........... RM 19,600
less initial capital .. RM 13,800
Total Profit .. RM 5,800

Hmmm not bad for less than a month's work

Just want to add something, good company with entitlement - you can seldom go wrong. Just sold off my QL-CT, bought @ 0.26 (today QL ex-date bonus 1 for 2), and other than Esceram & Focus Dynamic that I have, I'm also collecting Scientex-CJ, SCIB & JFTech

#2020covid19 Any purchase & sales AFTER the ex-date will be treated as normal contra - you can do it by yourself. But purchase BEFORE ex-date must go through remisier if you intend to sell on the ex-date or one day after

#kachan You can sell tomorrow all 4 lots via your remisier. But do note that you you will incur contra losses due to the price adjustment. But once the bonus shares "delivered" to your broker at T+2 (Thursday) it will off set part of your contra losses - Because the calculation to make it profitable must includes the selling of the warrants together

If you buy BEFORE the ex-date you can sell tomorrow no problem, no need to wait until the entitlement date. You will still receive you bonus and warrants. I have done this many times before with Ancom, Dufu, Penta, Caely. The only thing is that you need to sell via your remisier not by yourself using online trading because the share wont appear in your account yet.

Personally, I don't think selling on ex-date will forfeit you from getting any entitlement. Because in my case I sold my Ancom (1 for 4 bonus issue of free warrants) on the 04/09/20 i.e ex-date, I still receive my free warrants which were credited to my account.

Again. You won't find your bonus in your account today. But you can sell it via your remisier (not online trading). Please read the statement from Bursa :

"Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd would like to clarify that on the basis of settlement taking place after 4 September 2020 with bonus issue of TOPGLOV shares, any shareholder who is entitled to receive TOPGLOV bonus issue shares, may sell any or all of his TOPGLOV shares arising from the bonus issue beginning the Ex-Date (3 September 2020).

For example, if Mr X purchases 100 TOPGLOV shares on cum basis on 2 September 2020, Mr X should receive 100 shares on 4 September 2020. As a result of the bonus issue, a total of 300 TOPGLOV shares will be credited into Mr X's CDS account on the night of 4 September 2020 being the Book Closing Date. Therefore, Mr X can sell the bonus issue shares of 300 on or after the Ex-Date ie from 3 September 2020 onwards."

If you use online trading. I don't think you can sell your bonus today. However you can sell it via your remisier (provided you bought before today) although the shares have not been credited to your account yet

Let's look at Careplus before the QR was announced on
24th July (after 5pm) to draw some similarities with Harta
for some who still nervous about the coming QR

On 24/07 Careplus highest was 2.67 but closed only 1 sen
from previous day closing @ 2.46. But once the QR came out,
the next day on 25/07 Careplus jumped 2.46 to 2.72 and
closed the day at RM3.04

What I'm trying to say is will there be some profit taking before the QR tomorrow ? Yes and it's expected, but just hold on to your horses and ride with the profit

Runneron : Yes you will incur a contra loss with the price adjustment, but on the whole you still make some profit provided Penta still go up and you sell your bonus shares. I have done this before. Let me explain :

Let say today you bought 2000 @ 6.85.
So you total cost = RM13,700 (not including brokerage/stamp etc)
Theoretical Ex-Bonus Price = RM4.56

Let assume it goes up to RM5 and you manage to sell all 3000 shares (plus bonus) at this price
2000 sold @ RM5 = RM10,000
Contra Loss = RM13,700 - RM10,000 = RM3,700
1000 sold @ RM5 = RM5,000

You incur a loss from your original 2000 shares
But you still make a profit of RM1300 from the bonus shares that you sold off

Sold my Penta and Dufu, now focusing on glove counters. Thank you Penta & Dufu made a lot of money but time to move on.

Never mind, later uncle will write in his blog, his niece in NZ said still many gloves available selling like hot cakes

Sold a few for profit and keeping the rest for next week. Will buy a bit more when there's some profit taking

Just got notice from Dufu today, they credited the final 6 sen dividend into my account. Not bad some pocket money ... with the share price going higher and higher

Dufu bonus issue was announced on 02/07/20 after 5pm, and it has been relentless going up the very next day to its current price ever since. A gain of about more than RM1.50.

Penta on the other hand made the announcement on 15/07/20 and only just started moving yesterday and today, so plenty of time before ex-date to go higher

Just want to say I love Penta ... should have bought more yesterday, anyhoo no complaint at all

2 existing share @ RM6.50 = RM13
1 bonus = RM 0

Theoretical Ex-Bonus = 13 / 3 = RM4.33

Like what I wrote recently in Dufu thread, last year when Penta announced bonus issue 1 for 2, I gained some profit but made a folly of selling early after ex-date. Thinking that this counter will go down after the bonus, I sold around RM3.10, well it did go down a bit but then went up very fast for me to chase.

This time I make sure I'll wont make the same mistake. Putting a lot of my money on Dufu and Penta, and later will shift to Greatech too

At first I was wondering why this Dufu ex-date is one month from the announcement date. Normally, it would take about 2 weeks between the announcement and ex-date. Then I realize the 2nd quarter results will be announce on the first week of August. Surely by now the directors have a rough idea that it's going to be an impressive one.

Let say it hit RM7 before the ex-date, the theoretical ex-price will be RM3.50 and will again be pushed up to RM4 or higher thereafter , Same thing happened to Penta last year. But I made a mistake of selling to soon after ex-date around RM3.10 ... and you can see the price has increase 2 folds now

3rd Quarter last year they gave 3.5 sen dividend, and year before that 7 sen. Anything around 7 sen or more it will quickly shoot to the roof and be closer to most of the analysts target price ... finger crossed.

whatsoever in the stock market. But wait ... when market suddenly turns for the

1.) Open his laptop
2.) Check a few stocks that have climbed from the lowest
3.) Pick a few stocks that can convince newbies he makes a contra gain
4.) Attach graphs to make it more convincing
5.) Maybe create a bit of drama by saying he sold a few stocks too early
6.) Make new posting for online e-meeting later tonight
