Revenue may increase.
Locked in RM8.1 miilion profit to be recognised next quarter. I am not an accountant or tax adviser so do not shoot me down for layperson anaysis.
Sector is precision moulding but why have they not responded to Bursa query yet?
They still have 1.11 million treasury shares to offload.
NTA is RM2.75 according to last QR so even if it goes down to RM2 as someone hopes it would, I think it will bounce back or I hope anyway, ATB

KUALA LUMPUR (July 12): Kumpulan H&L High-Tech Bhd, whose share price hit limit up last Friday (July 9), continued to test another record high this morning, despite a stock exchange query on its usual market activity.
The counter soared as much as RM1.13 or 20.04% to RM6.77 after the opening bell. It has climbed 187% or RM4.41 since July 1.
As at noon break, the counter pared gains to close at RM5.40, down 24 sen or 4.26%. There were 12.2 million shares changing hands in the morning session. The trading volume is equivalent to 30% of the company's issued share capital.
While the company has yet to respond to the regulator's query on the sudden spike in share price, its management has taken advantage of the share price rally by disposing of some treasury shares over the past two weeks.
According to the filings to Bursa Malaysia, the company, which specialises in plastic injection moulding, has sold two million treasury shares at between RM2.50 and RM5.63 apiece from June 30 to July 9. The share sale has earned it RM8.11 million during the period.
The number of treasury shares stood at 1.11 million after the resale.
Kumpulan H&L's free float in the market is rather low. Its executive chairman and managing director Tan Lye Huat holds 49.65% of the company's total share capital of 40.61 million shares. This means that there are only about 16.36 million shares on the open market.
Kumpulan H&L returned to the black in the second quarter ended April 30, 2021 with a net profit of RM2.66 million, from a net loss of RM656,000 a year ago, underpinned by its manufacturing and plantation segments.
Its quarterly revenue also grew 72.6% to RM5.54 million, from RM3.21 million a year ago.
For the first half ended April 30, 2021, the group also swung back into profitability with a net profit of RM4.37 million, from a net loss of RM334,000 a year earlier.
Its revenue for the period increased by 34.66% to RM11.23 million from RM8.34 million a year earlier.
“Barring unforeseen circumstances, the board foresees a challenging year ahead for the remaining quarters for the current financial year. Nevertheless, the directors endeavour to maintain current performance,” the group said.
Well, they have locked in at least RM8.1 million so thats not a bad thing and hopefully will be returned to the shareholders.

The industry that they are operating is in demand and can attract lots of suitors. Look at Syngenta. I am not here to draw abuse but the potential market for the agri chemical business is huge. This company delivers good returns, the management is focused, buying cleaning chemical etc, if the profit is there and the team is delivering, I am happy to hold, of course, we all want a Genetec but not all are fortunate. Lets hope so rich. Has some relevant futuristic products that appear relevant now. Better to have a slow gradual rise than pump and dump. I think this is the stock to watch for in 2021. I hold shares in these and am a long term holder as it provides a dividend and a possibility of capital appreciation on top of having a clever driving force management. All the best to holders here, hope you make money as a trader or LTH.

Dear Moneymaker. How nice if that was true as it would definitely propel the company if the government decided that but its wishful thinking and I think RM40billion is not realistic but I like your enthusiasm, shame JacNgu seems really pissed off with this counter! I do not blame him 1 bit, if only the directors did more, its a good company NAV wise but who am I to comment, go up to my price, sell and move on right.

Thank you Jac. Sadly, you can't flog a dead horse and credible as it seems their business is, they just do not know how to impress the share market or the players out there! Medical waste seems good but water is the potential and lets give it some time eh

Did anyone of you fine folks attend the AGM today and have any thoughts? I think QR will be out soon but if the share price is not down, maybe there is hope! I think unless there is a TO, tough to see this going up but I hold shares and really want to see this rocket and deliver a return on investment. Govt has forgiven watwer debt of states which should augur well for them but they are so bloody lembab when it comes to stimulating the market with news

TnF. Thank you for contributing with a very reasoned and educated reply.
Just wondering what is the breakthrough catalyst for this company.
At least, some brick and mortar business is in place.
I am a long term shareholder which does not say much these days as with some shares, whats the use being long term when share price does not move and dividends are rare.
Holding Frontken for donkey years and then decided to sell out last year and rest is history but life goes on.
All the best to shareholders.

More states are raising water tariffs which indicates that investment should be flowing to the companies in this sector, including Fitters. Hope they receive some substantial orders having received a letter of award from the water authorities. All the best.

The importance of accurate reporting. This was an off market deal of over 24%, I would like to know who the new investor would be or what the direction is. You may be right, director disposed and flew to the sky, who knows but the play on this shares were over when it hit 32c I think but there you go!

Interesting that market does not give credit to Johari. Another time, his name on a share price would send a share price soaring and I say this because if you look at CI Holdings, he rewarded the shareholders very well as the share price did increase many times but unlikely to happen in these markets. He must have some ideas for the company and if you want to hold, do hold but you can always sell and buy back later if more details emerge as to his intentions for the company. Hopefully, he will inject some fresh ideas to the company

Thanks Unicorn, I read this and I agree, too diversified but water piping, open tender win, good prospects no? Any peers to compare, most are steel pipes which is def a no no now. Company should show some figures, expected amount of orders, projections, be optimistic. I also agree with moneykj, wait for results but results will not reflect order yet I think, only what was stated in the Edge Article and BTW, if they get an order, why not inform shareholders via Bursa
2019-02-07 10:23 | Report Abuse
Lets hope so. The market cap is still low. Stock is closely held by directors. Renewable energy from Palm Oil is also something that they do. Water piping supply business for 2 years is so grossly underestimated, they won an open tender. Government wants to save on costs, reduce excess, provide clean and uninterrupted water for its people, Sarawak is allocating large sums for water refitting etc. They have their own factory which they own build and operate so no relying on outside sources for materials. I can't make this counter move up but I have held it for a while and maybe, the potential will soon be realized but within 2 years, the order for pipes will see a huge increase in TO and no doubt profits. Who else is there to supply these pipes when they won an open tender? Please DYOR

spot on underbigtree. Moving beyond that, what purpose will the RM8million be used for? Revving up or capex for their other activities I guess since distribution as dividends may be too little.

Cityman, I hope it remains your favourite. Volume quite high yet share price moves little, people do not see value in this stock, I wonder why. Do not get me wrong, we are not here to marry the shares but to make money but nice to have shares that fly once in a while, wishful thinking I agree but we hope market or some predator recognizes value in it, all the best to shareholders, new and long suffering like me!

Increase in water tariffs may be bad for consumers but good for Fitters as there must be money to pay them for execution of the laying out of pipes, I really hope this one catches a rocket! Water pipes and water infrastructure, with confirmed orders and bricks and mortar fire fighting equipment and also property project at Pekeliling, not sure what is happening there though

agreed, volume all of a sudden spiking up and shares are down so as usual inside knowledge means QR will be bad and they will still be xxx around with the Indonesian project and not coming out with any pro active measures to attract some of the large allocations that the Sarawak govt has put up in the budget. Do not get me wrong, I am not a back bencher pretending or claiming to do a better job but these people are qualified, get paid, surely they cannot just watch the co share price drop from 1.90 in 2016 Nov to what it is now and not do something about it. Obviously, the maths do not add up to me because the share price is still languishing and their reply to Bursa query although accurate, does not impress the market. If what crash says is true, the value of the eventual contract not including Selangor would run into billions but its difficult to gauge as Fitters reply says that the quantity has not been finalised so again, its a guessing game. Anyway, thanks for sharing

Great start to the new month. Tatt Giap jumps 17% on a RM67m contract and this share, I assume the contract is bigger, goes up 1 sen! Lack of coverage, belief in management, I have no idea but times have changed I guess but positive thing is, their pipes should gain traction and they won in an open tender so hope some projects in East Malaysia and other states will consider them and management unlocks value for shareholders. All the best to holders

Seriously ladies and gentleman, If this thread is headed other than PUC, please respect the people here and limit discussions to PUC. Just because a company has so many competitors does not automatically mean that they will fail. Try telling that to Tesla CEO Elon Musk if you say so many others are doing electric cars etc.
Look at the management of PUC, the MD has a passion for this and is willing to stick his neck out and sell shares in a company he has mentioned was approached by several players to PUC.
Give him the benefit of doubt but if you want to exit this stock, do so gracefully and if you made money, congrats and if you lost money, well, join the club as we all have lost and gain.
All the best beating the market everyone.

Thanks to sonichead and this is replicated courtesy if that article.
"Pictureworks is eyeing expansion into events by offering event or freelance photographers a means to sell their photos online on a dedicated platform. It will provide job opportunities for them as well.
Using a mobile app where payments are done via e-wallet, the idea is for photographers to upload captured photos to one platform and provide customers with a QR code where they can access them and pay for their selection via AliPay and WeChat.
The service is already available in China due to the country’s strong e-wallet infrastructure.
“As long as e-payment infrastructure is viable [in the country], we’ll consider it and we want to build something that can be replicated throughout the world,” Cheong says.
The focus thus far has been on ticketed parks – locations where visitors have to pay a charge for entry – but he wants to move the group into non-ticketed areas as well."
Now that PUC has or is about to deliver its own e-wallet, I think it is fair to say that they will provide their customers with a QR code and pay for their selection through PUC and not only through Alipay and WeChat.
Funny but no one seems to have picked up on the fact that Pictureworks has been approached by several companies but I guess, unless it is sold and the proceeds translates to a distribution to shareholders, the shareprice will not advance strongly but it is a good hold. This guy is focussed, digital imaging is huge if you compare Getty Images valuation.
Anyway, good sharing, thank you.
I hold shares in PUC

Dear All,
Happy New Year and just excuse my acronym and also not wishing to feed 'sumika' but I think good works should be appreciated and criticism handled and delivered constructively. I just wanted to say this is what a forum should consider, a fair exchange to educate all, having said that, no one can force anyone to sell, if you want to sell, you sell, if you want to buy, please do. I think Pictureworks is a well run model and as long as I do not need funds for other things, I think this is a good hold, I have no target price in mind but who knew Heng Huan would start 2017 at 2 and end at 18 was it!
BTW, this is not a forum for other shares but I wish there was a 'sumika', no offence on Hibiscus because they will be operating the Labuan Crude Oil Terminal and I wonder if that can be converted to a refinery and demand valuations like Heng Huan eh! Well, we can all dream.
All the best with PUC ladies and gents

Yes, these are the kind of sharing of information that one signed up on this to read. Yes, we can sell and take profits but if our intention is to invest in Bursa, there will be a lot of options and knowing this information, it is possible that PUC will be on peoples radar again even after they take profits

This company has net debt. The Edge weekly Cover Story Page 71 highlights this. Part of the Sabah deal includes the Labuan Crude Oil Terminal. I hope management will give an update on what they intent to do with that. The right party managing and maintaining this and also expanding may be a good long term investment. Look at the share price of the other refiners! Hibiscus touched 2.80 a few years ago and a lot of shareholders have sold at a loss and so, if those who want to sell, please do but if those who can actually see this company finally turning the corner, do hold. I agree with some comments on the issue of free warrants, its a way of rewarding shareholders but please do your own research (DYOR)

Finally, another shareholder who actually makes sense amidst the derampers seeking to bring down the price.
Shame this is not on an overseas exchange where a focused, disciplined and prudent approach that is being administered by the management will be appreciated.
They are committed to long term returns, using their cash flow wisely to take advantage of low rates of borrowings, rewarding shareholders with dividend where allowable and being aware of the potential these agro and specialty chemicals sector operate in. Shame these paid analysts do not seem interested to cover these stocks and rather hype other stocks and allow their ckients to buy in to companies which are in the semi conductor or EV segment.
Noble is a great fit I think and the ready market they have is rubberrex if not already served, so profit is almost guaranteed, not to mention other rubber companies which will always need these type of services. Anybody who spends money and resources in the advancement of R&D like Noble suggests that they love what they do, believe in what they have and are always wishing to deliver innovative solutions to the market.
I am really pleased with their acquisition strategy and I am no Warren Buffet but I seriously think that the management does take a leaf from his book, so to speak. Kudos to Hextar and Dato.
Sorry, just needed to get it off my chest!
