there was an apparent switching of counter amongst sellers of Dialog and buy either YTL and YTLP shares, 10 mins before the closing today.
Look at the huge volume transacted:-
Sell Dialog 3.47mil shares @ RM2.10
Buy YTL 2.89mil shares @ RM2.67
Buy YTLP 1.97mil shares @ RM3.95
How do you read this unusual movements especially when it was done in chunk?

YTL was somewhat a laggard to YTLP since the beginning of [2023] this explosive share price, literally shooting through the roof.

i am not worried about the strength of SGD but RM, as it MAY weaken further depending on how inflation is managed by MAS, the central bank of Spore. Spore is known for managing her economy and over the years her priority was to build a credible war chest i.e the Foreign Reserves. FYI Spore bought 222 tonnes of Gold, which is part of the Reserve, in 2023! China was top net gold buyer followed by Poland, Spore. Surprisingly, Libya & Czech Republic were 4th & 5th. Bcos of the huge Reserve that spore has, she uses this to control its domestic inflation. Watch this and you will understand better about the strength of SGD viz-a-viz RM.

so much have been said about the clear profit visibility particularly SerayaPower and hype about the DC. yet local funds like EPF or KWPersaraan are nowhere to be seen in buying YTLP. last transaction by the former was in june 2023! what do you read of it?

The price is likely to be on upward trend as all short positions is zerorised. slts... most of us are overjoy by the performance of YTLP since Jan 2023. So YTLP Earnings from spore power is also predictable + stable thus eliminates earnings fluctuations for 2024 to 2025, some said 2026. This can blow yr mind of YTLP share performance if any local analysts could humbly see the potential contribution fr this unit + other units

1). Singapore Power's more predictable and stable earnings going forward will eliminate investor concerns about earnings fluctuations, while its conservative approach of self-funding growth plans without raising equity capital also eliminates dilution risk and provides upside growth potential. 2). The YTLPower-C33 is a call warrant issued by CIMB at conversion ratio of 1.5 call warrant to 1 mother share. What happen to the outstanding call warrants upon expiry? Will the warrants be “converted” & cash settled by CIMB e.g. for 1000 warrants mother @ 3.00, the holder will receive RM2,000 cash credited to a/c. Am i right?

Is it true that the Kulai green project isn’t totally financed by borrowings as it is largely ‘financed’ by SEA group 32MW for example, as a firm commitment to secure the deal with ytlp. And this wld be the model YTLP will be using with future tenants whenever it wants to expand its solar project
