I88/sankai - appreciate if u cud reconfirm but Maybulk is already out of d tanker bznez.theyre currently into OSVs. their sub in s'pore, POSH, is gonna b listed in SGX.Maybulk was nimble enuff to change bznez before d downtrend of bulk carriers/tankers.in comparison, Hubline was rather unfortunate.however Hubline is now re-organizing to replicate Maybulk's bznez plan (to put it crudely).

ProfitMan,I88 and those holding/may-b-thinking of holding TAS and/or other shipbuilding counters..just to straighten a misconception...the maritime fund of RM3B allocated under budget 2014 is thot to benefit the maritime/O&G xpecially support players. IMHO, yes it would benefit these players ie vessel owners (OSVs ie anchore handling tugboats, crew boats, supply boats, pipe layers etc), but it actually would benefit the shipbuilders more than the former.simple reason - shipowners can only realise their biz after vessels are commissioned and in operations (2-3 years to complete a vessel) while shipbuilders realise $$ almost immediately ie upon order (although via progressive payment). so i'd say that builders like TAS, Crystal, Sealink and also to a certain extend the shipyards, could see better financials for 2014.It may show up as early as Q1 2014 reports due to "crossover" of year end biz to the new year for the banks whilst for the shipbuilders once they have booked an order to build. just my 2 sens..:)
