@i3Value....i fully agree with you.
The Covid-19 situation in China is rapidly improving.
This thing is only a temporary phenomenon.
It comes fast and can also disappear fast.

@mmk79....thanks for the latest updates in Chinese.
Contrary to what was
posted by a naysayer here....
This post in Chinese says the workers stayed back to work during the recent Chinese New Year....and strict precautions have been taken to prevent Corona virus infection of workers at the power plant.
Besides, the finishing touches to the plant is progressing rapidly and smoothly.
I write this for the benefit of those who can't read Mandarin.
Thank you.

@OTB.....bro
Thanks for your explanation.
Fully understood.
Now I hope more people....including the IB guys(hopefully).....will take serious note of our discussion here.
加油 bro OTB.

@OTB.....bro yr figures are very close to mine.
I got 1 200 000 000 x 7238 = 8.6856 billion kWh.
But I use the ultimate 40% ownership by Jaks, nett profit of 2.4 US cents per kWh, a PE of 12 and US1= RM4.20.
The actual figure I got is a tp of RM6.35.
But I think I can stretch it somewhat to between RM6.90 to RM8 based on PE 13 to just a little over 15.
Thank you.

And yes....I use Jaks eventual 40% ownership of the power plant and an exchange rate of US1=RM4.20.

@Tyre220069 Bro...i use 30% of the tariff rate of US 8 cents per kWh as the profit margin.
This is equivalent to US2.4 cents of profit per kWh consumed.
Profit margins, I was made to understand, could even be higher than 50% in some cases.
I just put an arbitrary 30% which I think should be reasonable because of the gigantic capital invested in constructing the power plant.
In short everything are estimates but they are guided ones NOt
2020-03-04 15:06 | Report Abuse
Dear bro OTB
Thanks
In that case tp should be RM7 to RM8.
2020-03-04 14:58 | Report Abuse
Dear OTB
In fact I only use 30% of US 8 cents which is equivalent to US 2.4 cents nett profit per kWh.
So if I were to use US 5 cents then even at 7000 utilization hours per year my target price will be more than double of RM 6.60......possibly RM14 at PE 12.
Do correct me if I overestimate.
Thank you.

@Hektor99
JAKS had issued 651m shares. Its forward EPS is estimated to be 38 sen when its power plant is fully operational
I beg to differ bro.
My estimated forward eps is a conservative 55 sen when power plant is fully operational.
I take the mean of 10% and 50% which is 30% profit margin from total electricity sales at US 8 cents per kWh running at an average of 7000 hours per year.
A PER of 12 values Jaks at RM6.60 by end 2021 or early 2022.
Just my 2 cents.
Thank you.
PS Unless you have a strong Maths and Science background it will be difficult to understand what 2x600 MWatt and kWh really means. The real money lies in those figures.

I notice there are two groups here.....
@OTB, DK66, probability, pjseow, Vin3133 et al are the people with substance. THANK YOU for sharing guys.
The other group, the aptly called naysayers, are cowboys who are empty vessels or fortune tellers.
In short, we have real professional investors in one group and gamblers in the other.
Truly, empty vessels make the most noise.
And really annoying and sickening to hear.

@probability.....Jaks potential 40% of 1200MW is the equivalent of owning a 480MW plant as compared to MFCB's 260MW.
MFCB has issued 500+ million shares while total shares in Jaks is about 700+ million(warrants inc)
You do yr own estimates guys.
To me the eps for Jaks from power sector shd be higher than that of MFCB.
Nevertheless, I stand to be corrected.

The so-called "free energy" is still very very elusive....takes a long long time to be realised if at all.
The nearest alternative, now under development, the so-called nuclear fusion reactors for the generation of heat and therefore electricity will take at least half a century to become a reality the world over. Even then the cost of building such reactors are by no means just chicken feed. I foresee this nuclear fusion option as a precursor to the very secretive and very elusive "free energy" which can be extracted from the atmosphere.
Fossil fuels are a limited natural resource and they are still needed for at least a few decades before free-energy technology can be developed and utilised by mankind.
So in the next few decades electricity has to come from power plants including coal, hydro and what not.

Warrant pricing is not so simple and straightforward as 0.64+1.20=1.84. The premium attached is tied to many factors...one of which is the magnitude of the prospective future appreciation of the mother share.

Current average electricity price in Vietnam is US 8 cents per kWh.
A 1% profit= US 0.08 cent per kWh
US 0.05 cent per kWh is most likely the gross profit margin....i am confident it is not the revenue because it is less than 1% of electricity price.

I think 7 billion kWh per annum is achieveable
Assuming exchange rate of 1US$= RM4
At only US0.05 cent NET PROFIT per kWh
Profit pay to Jaks(30%) = 7000mx0.05x4x0.3 = RM420m
Profit pay to Jaks(40%) = 7000mx0.05x4x0.4 = RM560m
At PE 10 to 15.....calculate yr own target prices.
Just my 2 cents guys.
Thank you.

Fellow investors...let me attempt to estimate the per day collection of electricity tariff after both units are running fully....120mW at full power.
Assume just running at 100mW capacity.
Say for average 15 hours a day.
So total units of electricity sold PER DAY is
100mW x 15h = 1500mWh
Mega= 1 million
So total sold PER DAY = 1.5 Billion Wh ( 1Wh = 1 unit)
Current av cost of electricity is US 8 cents per unit.
So PER DAY collection= 1.5b x 8 US cents.
If you cannot figure out what 1 billion is i suggest you ask for help from those who know.
I leave the rest of the calculation to some of our well-schooled members.
According to my calculation the ANNUAL tariff collection is staggering....i just couldn't believe the amount Jaks will collect.
Just my 2 cents...i stand to be corrected.
Thank you.

Says Chinese scientists have found out that a drug used to treat malaria, chloroquine phosphate, can also be used to effectively treat the novel corona virus infection with success.
