Bigmama, totally agree with you about the lower oil price lower subsidy paid by government.... Was just thinking with lower oil price the government's revenue from oil also drops drastically as we export oil too... Since Petronas pays the government in the tunes of tens of billions so the loss could be bigger than the saving from subsidy.... If they lose more when oil price is down, they might be more desperate now to stop the leaks and find a new way to handle the fuel or other subsidies to save money as soon as possible..

The lower the oil price, lower income for Petronas and less revenue for the government... more pressure for the government to introduce Fuelsubs to curb smuggling... Of course when oil price drops, fuel price will drop but as long as other countries sell petrol at higher price than Malaysia the smuggling will continue and we will keep subsidising others... I think the main objective is to stop the leaks and reduce the subsidy.... I think the government got no money liao... Hope Dsonic has come up with solutions for all the concerns raised... IMHO...

Ya, it's very easy to say "I told you so" every time the price goes down.... Don't forget no share price goes up in straight line forever... Do you notice these so called experts always around every time the price goes down and disappear when the price goes up?? Everyone can sound like expert if you use "what if" or "if if if".....

Today so far the support looks strong at 1.55/1.56, volume is getting lower suggesting the selling pressure is diminishing..... IF the buying gets stronger we might be testing the last strong support at 1.62 which now becomes the first resistance..... IF 1.62 is broken, we might be so on and so on and so on...... Do I sound like an expect now? Hehehe.....

No no no, please don't get me wrong cause I know sh*t about TA and I respect the real TA sifus out there but make sure you are talking to a REAL expert who proven to have good intention....
And do check other recommendations by these so called experts and see how good they are, you will be surprised hehehe.... Again, to say "I told you so" every time the share price goes down is easy..... Talk is cheap....

Based on the current numbers, if they "GST" the fuel and remove the import tax since they can't do both then the revenue will drop from 0.40/ litre to 0.138/litre?? Errrrr.... That will reduce their revenue by more than half leh..... Unlikely they will do that lah.... How they will do it I really don't know but I think the subsidy be it in the form of fuel, cash, food stamps or others is gonna be around for while.... WHY? May be the government is really that kind to help the poor? Or just for political gains? Or any other reason? What say you? Hehehe....

That's why IMHO they can tax whatever they want but subsidy will be there whether we agree or not..... On the personal level, I believe in level playing field and fairness for all but that's besides the point here I suppose....

Pav has been giving some valuable info that we would not get from reading newspaper..... I think he disappeared because he didn't want to get involved at the personal level when the debates heated up..... I can't say for all others here but I admit I bought in based on the future prospect, the potentials of the company to get new contracts, the management team and its' connections.....

For a FA based investor he will say I am crazy but let's not make it about me...... PE only even based on current earning doesn't guarantee as proven by the case of DAYA..... Last year I think, its first 3 quarters results recorded good profits but the last quarter lost more than its profits from all 3 previous quarters combined..... I have utmost respect for FA investors like Kcchongz.... I also admire the patient people who can endure the ups and down many many times for many many months or years in order to meet their objectives...... But for short term players all they want is a catalyst like a new contract to push the price up....

I think many gentlemen here already made a point to say that this counter is for long term for all its talents to be appreciated or to shine.... I don't consider myself a long term investor because on the average I only keep shares for about 6 months longest 9 months....... How long will I keep this counter I really can't say for now.... So how long I will keep depends on whether the company can grow further.... I know for now it's based on "future" prospect but as long as it can grow further or at least try to, win new contracts, venture into new business opportunity, I am willing to give it a chance lor.....
