Not really. Dividends is always a nice touch to the stocks you own. Novice traders look at the capital gains, but be honest with yourself, money doesn't rain everyday in Malaysia. Dividends is good to generate cashflow without selling off your shares.

When you have capital for large portfolio, then you'll understand the importance of dividend-yielding shares.

I would not expect the dividend to go up. Same as other glove counters, glove companies NEED these dividends to expand their operations further.

Only buy if you think this is a fair price for the stock. Expect capital gains, not dividends.

For those quoting the buybacks from Lim, at the price (6-8), calculate the average costs then you know how saturated this price point is. Truth is the truth. I don't know how else to put it to you.

High P/E normally means lower dividend. High P/E means company is expected to grow but it can also mean overvaluation. Since the competition between the glove companies is so stiff, it's unlikely that they will give dividends anyways, will be waste of cash.

Don't buy for dividends. Buy if you think this price point right now is justified. Now, not really. If lock in profit dy, then there is no need to worry.
