PETALING JAYA: My E.G. Services Bhd (MyEG) has announced that a consortium of companies, of which it is a part of, has received an appointment letter from the Immigration Department to undertake the registration of illegal foreign workers in the country.

The project will be an extension of the scope of service provided by the company to the Immigration Department.

"The project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the company as it is expected to increase the total number of legal foreign workers in the country, hence increasing the fees generated from the online renewal of foreign workers permit," it said in a filing with the stock exchange.
