Modus operandi of speculators/operators are to pump up and dump. So this morning movement is clearly this pattern.

I wouldn't worry about it. Prices are not just up because of speculation. They are up because of earnings. As i said in my earlier post, the best way to protect yrself against a falling ringgit is to buy companies whose assets are outside of Malaysia and whose earnings are in USD.

It's a futile attempt to push the share price down to $5.60 with just 100shares. It is so minscule, it is liken to slow a an elephant by putting a small bag on its back. It's quite clear whoever who did that wants to buy a low price.

It is still cheap when it is growing in excess of 20% annually.

The earlier release of 2nd Qtr result is indeed surprising when compared to previous 2nd qtr results. Maybe they want to cheer the shareholders before CNY. With eps of $0.28 for 2nd qtr or $0.45 for 1st half, who knows what the upper limit will be.

Results for period Dec 2014 shld be announced on Feb 25-28. It could be dazzling from the way the shares rocketing upwards. Expect to receive CNY angpow with better earnings, bonus and an interim dividends. Cheers and congrats to all those who kept from $1 to this level. Target could be >$8 if earnings is >$0.35 for the reporting qtr.

Dsonic is no where near Latitude in terms of earnings. Dsonic with Stock split of 5 for 1 (23-12-2013) and then another split of 1 for 1(6-6-2014), which means the shares was split into 10 times. At current price of $1.23, it is still worth $12.30 before all these split. Clearly at $4.11 for Latitude now, the P/E is still below 10 times.

Miketyu - I think Mr Koon does not need to say much. His action worths a thousand words. Since the top 30 shareholders disclosure list of which he was reported to have owned 5 Mio shares, he has purchase another mio. within a short period, giving a total in of >6 mio. The additional shares are purchased in excess of $3.50 or higher. Like every savvy investor, if there is no doubling in potential appreciation, why go in at ever larger qty. This share is quite illiquid. So all you pple, load up man before the quarter ending Sep 30 2014 is announced next week.

Which will be translated in foreign exchange gain in their P/L.

On the contrary, a weaker ringgit, means more turnover and income as their business are transacted in USD.

1st qtr result for period ending 30th Sep 2014 should be released btw 24-29 Nov, based on past disclosures. Anyone care to venture any forecasts and if possible their reasons for their estimates

$3.50 done. Insiders buying. Resutls probably very good. All the sales stuff must know the result - no need to be accurate. So they probably tell their father, mother, sisters, uncles and friends to buy.

I concur with Chonghai. I think they have been quite stingy to share profit with shareholders. Contrast that with Liihen who are absolutely generous. Shareholders like to keep shares for long time if there is a steady stream of dividends.

From chart point of view, it is bullish. It exceed its previous high and volume is quite impressive.

Not really. It's a good stock. Every stock is vulnerable to external and internal factors. U need to work hard to sieve out bad factors. That is why investing is not easy. Otherwise who wants to work.

Despite what is say in this thread, I think very few companies paid out such dividends. This action itself says a lot of how major shareholders or owners or management treat other non controlling shareholders fairly. So I am with Liihen and will buy more as the price dip.

I think results over the weekend and must be fantastic. Possible dividend and bonus - I think. Insiders are buying.

Now, I know why the dividend are so poor in comparison to their earnings. There is an oustanding warrants with an expiry date of 2020. Never seen such long dated warrant. Warrant are issued to help raise capital but not with such a long expiry date. How can the company plan for such capital raising in about 7 years time. So the major holders of such long dated warrant are also the major shareholders of the company and since they are collecting good salary, it is not in their interest to declare dividend as warrant holders do not get any dividend. What is your opinion?

It's not "un-rational" (I think u mean irrational) to determine, establish or speculate on the approx valuation of share by looking at other shares in a similar kind of business and operating environment. It is very rational. For example, if bank A announces a very good results, bank B,C etc will moves up in anticipation of their earnings as they are operating in the same environment. Hope it's clear

In the last 4 yrs, Latitude Tree posted its 31 Mar qtr ending on 26 May, 27 May, 30 May and 23 May respectively for Fiscal year 2010, 11, 12 and 13. So we can expeet for qtr ending 31 Mar 2014, the dates should be in the last week of this month. So just keep your fingers cross.

So far, I see only Latitude is moving out of the block. The rest are either stuck on the starting line or going for toilet break.

Latitude broken resistance on 2.85 and now on uncharted water. Volume is twice daily average in just 1 hour of trading. Such uptrend has to be driven by insiders on some impending development. Either 3rd qtr results which is awesome or some merger or acquisation,

That is true. Big punters and many others purposely stir such gyration to scare you to sell. So it's important to search out analysis and do yr due diligence. That way others cannot bluff you easily.

Since its release of 2nd qtr results, the share has made up & down movement. Also the forum is filled with buy and sell calls. This suggest to me that the short term bulls and bears are in a tussle. Now that the gyration has settled down, the share price is clearly showing an upward trent with the bulls firmly in control. I don't see the share price moving below $2.50 and in fact I am expecting it to trend toward the $3 mark. The US housing market could be the most important pull(supporting) factor underpinning this uptrend.
