News from Nanyang Siang Pau
（吉隆坡3日讯）TH重工（THHEAVY，7206，主板贸服股）与McDermott国际公司的一系列联营计划今日正式成形，共同进军大马能源领域和提升设计、采购、安装和建造（EPIC）专业服务领域，满足国内油气领域发展需求。
McDermott国际公司发出文告指出，双方联营计划已取得TH重工股东同意。
根据文告，联营公司计划今年内，共同投资及聘请本地工程师，支援TH重工在吉隆坡的工程和EPIC合约竞标，及现有的工程。
同时，联营公司的计划，包括提升TH重工在英达岛的制造厂。
增加该厂产能，以承接更多工程。同时，改善工厂安全性和效率，为客户供应高素质产品。
McDermott国际拥有专业知识和经验，TH重工则对大马市场熟悉，2者联营可以承担更大型EPIC工程，以及岸外安装工程。
此外，TH重工-McDermott国际公司联营公司，也将拥有McDermott Derrick驳船。
TH重工董事经理兼总执行长诺巴里指出，该公司欲拓展公司规模、产能及营业额，需参与更多高难度工程，涉及技术更精密、更深化及更有挑战性。
McDermott国际公司在这方面经验丰富，又想拓展大马市场，两者合并完全符合常理。
