roger, its ok lah, I am rather motivated right now, thanks to our governments', state-wise and federal-wise, non-stop free jokes.

roger, I am not sad, I am furious, not because losing money, but because believing in what Azmin said! I don't know how much you have lost, but to me, I lost not just paper-wise, but opportunity to grab others. Azmin thinks he can main-main everyone, then I will show him my vote till I am dead!

Cheoky, that's what I m doing and why I m so mad at Azmin

roger, what's the whole point of fighting each other? Might as well curse Azmin together for his lies after lies! One thing for sure, I will not vote for any PKR candidate until Azmin is fired!

hng33, thanks for saving the day, but guess only an announcement by government that the water deal is completed can save the day for Puncak, damned Azmin, curse him!

fainted, heard Japan is falling 1%; hopefully the market will start to calm beginning today after so many selloff, including the US

hng33, agree. But Saudi also has the most to lose when oil price is around 40. Think eventually it will have to be Saudi the first to announce cut and awaits other to reciprocate.
And a comforting news right now would be a gradual recovering in the US market
2015-08-24 22:02 | Report Abuse
well, US10 is the cost of production before including social cost. Given budget deficit of over 40 (or is it 50) billion USD this year alone, Saudi can't keep this game indefinitely
2015-08-24 21:48 | Report Abuse
hng33, do not agree, Saudi production has increased more than 2 million barrels per day since Iraq embargo that Saudi could easily cut down. Demand for crude oil has actually increased to 94 million barrels per day from 92 million barrels per day (didn't check figure carefully, but can confirm easily through most reports available online.) Furthermore, the slower oil demand has actually not caused by 'slower economy' reported by news as I see it. It has more to do with newer technology developed to improve energy efficiency due to high oil price (consistently above 100 over a few years!) Well, anyone could put in any conspiracy theories into this.
2015-08-24 21:38 | Report Abuse
hng33, agree. Given sharp drop in US right now, guess your scenario could play out right
2015-08-24 21:05 | Report Abuse
hng33, I think we have more to fall, given poor plantation performance and low oil & gas price. Further weakening could be seen in property and bank stocks. Hopefully, it will end before consumer and industrial stocks are heavily affected as well. Guess the only thing to hope for is a Saudi production cut announcement, around 1 - 2 million barrels per day...

Jack, so you are a guy rather than a girl? I admire Hng33's skills, when he sell I take caution and sell some if I have made some profitable short-term trade on Puncak earlier. Otherwise, mostly admire. I will take cautious move when Roger said deal will not be completed soon and price will drop further by try not jump in. Well, it is a bit too late today, I bought some Puncak warrant @ 1.58 today when seeing Puncak broke even today. While with an initial intention to sell after making some profit, I didn't act accordingly. Guess that's why I try to avoid short-term trades. As for information, think Singor is more trustworthy but he has not posted any lately.

jacklin, aiyo, if you agree with roger and have used margin account, then keep some cash in case Puncak drops; if you disagree with roger, then just ignore him. I for one has decided to keep my position till water restructuring is completed, though, an earlier settlement is definitely much appreciated. Meanwhile, will keep on cursing Azmin till he completes the restructuring. Yeah!

upsidedown, which part are you referring with regards to my pessimism? Is it "Think PR is Selangor is a real big joke! Don't even know how they have benefitted the people delaying the water restructuring for such a long time... "
If you are referring to this, well, I am pessimistic about the management skill of PR (and future federal under PR) rather than future of Puncak. Based on his statement, Azmin seems to suggest higher water tariff in future, leaving only on whom should bear the burden. An earlier settlement with Puncak & Gamuda should lower the cost of restructuring, but Azmin has emphasized politics over the administration of water issue.

Think PR is Selangor is a real big joke! Don't even know how they have benefitted the people delaying the water restructuring for such a long time...

Selangor residents may have to bear higher water tariffs in future after the master agreement on the state’s water industry restructuring has been finalised, including the taking-over of the water concessionaires.
Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali said increased water tariffs might be considered for the long term due to the expected take-over costs to be borne by Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).
“Implementation of the finalised agreement will surely involve the cost of restructuring the industry to ensure the supply of quality water, but the state government will not burden the people.
“To reduce the 35 percent of non-revenue water (NRW) currently, will also incur a high cost,” he said in reply to a supplementary question from Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (PKR-Kajang) at the state assembly sitting in Shah Alam today.
Earlier, Mohamed Azmin (PKR-Bukit Antarabangsa) said the master agreement was finalised with the federal government on July 10, with a 60-day period for the implementation of the main conditions in the agreement, including the process of taking over the concession companies.
He said that to date, only Syarikat Pengeluar Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Splash) was still in the negotiation process, while that involving three other water concessionaires, Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas), Konsortioum Abbas Sdn Berhad (Abbas) and Puncak Niaga Holdings Berhad (PNHB) had been completed.
The menteri besar admitted that Selangor was facing treated water supply problem due to the lack of treatment plants to meet the supply needs of residents and industries in the state.
“The problem in Selangor is not due to raw water supply but inadequate treatment plants, which requires the building of the Langat 2 Water Treatment Plant to be expedited,” he said.
To a question from Ng Suee Lim (DAP-Sekinchan) on the giving of free water, Mohamed Azmin said the state government would study the matter as some consumers were found to have abused the facility.
“There have been claims that some who receive the benefit of free water, have been using it to wash cars, water their gardens and so on. However, at the moment the state government does not intend to cancel the free water programme,” he added.

hng33, why so hard on roger? If based on what you have posted, he must also be holding Puncak like us, more or less. So, lets all pray a deal to be announced within the next few days and price rises up to more than 3.30.
2015-08-17 17:19 | Report Abuse
cheoky agree. I have similar concern. I think Puncak price is falling much less compared to others due to possibility of a deal to be completed soon. If deal can be completed in the next few days and Puncak trades above 3.30, I should be on a buying spree after selling my Puncak.

SHAH ALAM: A review will be carried out on the Selangor government free 20 cubic meter water programme in Selangor.
Menteri Besar Azmin Ali said there was a need to study if the programme fulfils its main objective to benefit lower income with the supply as there were complaints that it was used for gardening and swimming pool. Azmin said there are no plans to stop the programme.
While the Selangor government has no plans to increase the water tariff at the moment, consumers may have to pay more once the restructuring of the state's water industry is completed.
Menteri Besar Azmin Ali said the state government now needs to conclude the final stage with Syarikat Pengeluar Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Splash).
"We do not know what is the quantum needed to be paid to Splash. For now, there is no hike but in the future, we have to see what is the mechanism that wouldn’t burden the people. This is the responsibility of the state government as we cannot simple transfer the cost to consumers," he said at the sidelines of the Selangor state assembly today.

Selangor mulls fine-tuning free water scheme
SHAH ALAM: The Selangor government may review its free water scheme to ensure that it benefits only those who really need the aid.
Mentri Besar Azmin Ali (pic) said some of the beneficiaries were using the monthly 20 cubic metres of free water to water plants, wash cars and fill their swimming pools.
"How can we subsidise these activities? I don't think it is fair,"’ Azmin told reporters at the sidelines of the state legislative assembly session here Monday.
Azmin said he has invited assemblymen to debate the matter when the budget is tabled in November.
"There are ways and means to ensure the targeted group benefits from the programme, so we have to look at the best mechanism," he said, adding the state spent between RM120mil to RM150mil yearly on the free water scheme.
According to Azmin, the cost had gone up after the migration of bulk meter water supply accounts to individual meter water supply accounts in high-rise properties in the state.
When asked if the review would disgruntle Selangor residents, Azmin said he did not think it would.
"If you give a proper explanation and justification on why we need to review, they will understand," said Azmin.
He said the purpose of implementing the scheme was to help those from the lower income group.
He assured there were no plans to abolish the free water scheme even after the conclusion of the ongoing Selangor water industry restructuring exercise.
To a question if there would be an increase in the water tariff rate once Selangor fully takes over its water industry from the current private concessionaires, Azmin said there were no plans to do so at the moment.
However, he did not dismiss the possibility of an increase in the future.
"We have to look at the entire process once the whole industry has been restructured,"’ said Azmin, adding that currently, only three concessionaire companies - Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas), Puncak Niaga Sdn Bhd (PNSB) and Konsortium Abbas Sdn Bhd (Abbas) - were involved.
He said the final stage has to be concluded as well with the fourth concessionaire company Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Splash).
"We don't know what is the quantum that needs to be paid to Splash,"’ said Azmin.
He reassured that the state government will not make any decisions that would burden the people.
"We cannot simply transfer the cost to the consumers and so we will look at a suitable mechanism to reduce the burden," he said.
