Benny, my understanding is that the private placement is equity. Equity is not same as borroring or debt. Externally generated yes, from pocket of selected investor who bear the risk of failure if share price go down just like we bilis.

As for special requirement (e.g GMP you mentioned), desperate time call for desperate measures. In normal time vax took many years to be approved. If vax approval can be shortened so much, i will think GMP approval shoild be kacang putih. Anyway, NPRA has approved Solutn facility so i think it is enough assurance .

Sharon, My limited understanding is that the Production of vaccine has two major process, production of bulk material, and followed by fill and finish in the vial. Thr vial is the one sent to hospital for vaccinating people by injection.

Some big pharma companies tapau both ends so their agent just distribute.

I think cansino is one of the smaller manufacturer so their strategy is to work with local/regional partner that willing to invest in fill & finish facility

PUTRAJAYA 22 DISEMBER 2020 - Kementerian Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi (MOSTI) merujuk hantaran-hantaran yang dibuat oleh beberapa pemilik akaun di laman media sosial Facebook yang telah membuat tuduhan tidak benar kepada Kerajaan tentang pembekalan vaksin COVID-19.

Kerajaan baharu sahaja menandatangani perjanjian dengan syarikat farmaseutikal Astra Zeneca bagi perolehan sebanyak 6.4 juta dos atau tambahan sebanyak 10 peratus lagi.

Ini bermakna jaminan bekalan vaksin sebanyak 40 peratus yang telahpun diperolehi menerusi perjanjian bersama fasiliti COVAX, syarikat Pfizer dan syarikat AstraZeneca. Kerajaan juga sedang dalam proses rundingan akhir dengan Sinovac, CanSino dan Gamaleya bagi mendapatkan jaminan bekalan vaksin bertambah melebihi 80 peratus jumlah populasi negara atau 26.5 juta.

Melalui kesemua rundingan dan perjanjian yang telah dan akan dimeterai buat masa ini, kerajaan akan membelanjakan sejumlah AS$504.4 juta (RM2.05 bilion). Jumlah 80 peratus ini adalah melebihi sasaran awal iaitu untuk memberikan vaksin kepada 70 peratus rakyat Malaysia.

it says above that in 2008 duopharma is building vaccine fill and finish facility at cost of 7m.

Anyone knows whether this has been completed, and if so what type of vax duopharma has produced with this facility.

It’ll be a very attractive for me to consider buying duopharma if they have experience in running vax fill and finish line succesfully.

Benny, your opinion on valuation is not wrong. but it seem to me in practice real world price future and sentiment.

I can think of glove as an example. It has fantastic profit to show, big order book for years yet its price is not in congruence to this fact.

Maybe market is not rational. May be we are not rational. May be it’s ok.

I admire solution to have guts to get into pharma business. Among vaccine hopefuls, It is the only company with clear direction, strong team leader with track record in biotech and biologics, and plan for value adding fill and finish product line which KJ clearly mention as key criterion for selection last wk.

I dont know whether they will be successful, but i root for their success and voted by buying at 1.17,1.19, and 1.22.
