Wonder why the regulators have given BJLAND so much time to regularise their PSS. Is there something amiss at the regulators or is there more than meets the eye on VT's influence?

Don't understand these guys that runs Fintec. They could easily raise the funds required by selling 10% - 20% of the holdings in Focus. The sales proceeds will be more than the RI can raise. Don't need to be a rocket scientist to solve this. Since the price of Focus is grossly over valued currently, its time to take some profits off the table and these guys don't seem to know that? Common.....

So, looks like VT don't have the bullets to offer a fair price to buy over the remaining meager 13.255% currently. Not as rich as he tends to behave. Still using the Berjaya group of companies' funds to buy back shares via cross holdings regularly in the market. That is one of the stunts investors don't like. It's an abuse of the companies funds not for business expansion or for growth purposes. No wonder the BERJAYA GROUP of COMPANIES have very little following. Only few anal-list follow their stocks. Zero following for BJLAND and BJCORP and the message is crystal clear. When would these major shareholders live up to their status and act with conscious.

Many major shareholders are taking their companies private. The latest is TAFI a losing concern. So, when is William Cheng going to follow?
2020-09-08 07:25 | Report Abuse
No, he's taking advantage of the slowdown to buy more time from the regulators. Eventually, he will take it private. I'm sure he's not wasting his time to collect for so long to give up finally.

Why the double standard on the treatment of IQ but not the glove and health care related counters? They were given only 1 day in no trading above set threshold price. It only means there are hidden hands behind the trading of stocks in Bursa by insiders involving the regulatory personnel. When they are not involved, stricter rules are applied. Too obvious and unprofessional in their handling of market activities

So much negative comments here. Actually, if you like what they do and think they can get their act right in 1 or 2 years as guided by the Management, fine. If you don't believe in them, then move on, as Bursa is a supermarket of companies to choose from. No need to waste your precious time and comments here as all are strangers. No one will appreciate even if you get it right. Go choose another counter you like and make the positive comments there. I'm sure those like minded will appreciate you for sharing, cheers.

Currently, lumber price is at its highest in the last 40 years since 1980. The bull run on timber stocks will come once the market sees profits start to roll in. The early bird catches the worm. So, load up now and wait, cheers.

Either WC is really stupid or he is getting proxies to buy back Parkson shares at this fire sale price of 8 sen. You don't need to be a Rocket Scientist to do the maths. It is important for the Parkson major shareholder to protect the interest of all stakeholders so that the share price reflect its intrinsic value. It will be irresponsible of the management to not defend the share price by at least performing share buyback when Parkson is selling at liquidation prices. WC you should do the right thing in taking Parkson private or perform share buyback. Too many companies under WC has been delisted because he did nothing to save them. That is being irresponsible as the major shareholder running the show

The current lumber price at USD725 is the highest for the past 25 years. The question is, are the syndicates prepared to leave the glove related stocks to start the timber play. Most timber stocks are penny stocks and can easily limit up, cheers.

Market over reacting on glove and related health care stocks including Tekseng after news out that Russia has found the vaccine. Some lucky ones pick up the news late last week. The big boys started unloading their position and Tekseng is no exception. Let's hope they don't continue unloading then it will turn ugly, cheers.

The Manager owners are not investors friendly. They need to do more interaction with brokerage houses and analysts to share the positive developments in the Company. This is key to Tekseng having a huge following to boost its share price, cheers.

Market is so hot now even zombie companies are flying. If there is any syndicate deciding to fart here and start some stories, I'm sure Parkson also can meletup. Market is flush with enthusiasm. Wonder why William Cheng is not buying when the price is dirt cheap. Don't tell me even the shit companies with few sens book value in Bursa is better than Parkson? Common, the major shareholder and CEO, William Cheng should buy more Parkson shares to give confidence to the market when it is selling at dirt cheap price. Even Vincent Tan buys back his companies shares regularly. Why William Cheng is not doing anything? Wonder why Parkson is not doing share buy back at this ridiculously low price? In fact, with adequate cash flow, they should be buying back 10% of the shares as it will cost pittance to buy at 8 sen a share

Tekseng is increasing capacity on PP non woven materials by allocating RM20m on the expansion. What it means is demand is greater than supply currently. You can expect the sales to increase exponentially once the new capacity come on stream. Profits will be growing and this will be reflected in the the share price, cheers.

Early bird entering this stock will see big returns by year end. The rate of return for glove stocks are not cost efficient over the high prices currently. Major shareholders that abuse their position and perform questionable use of funds and sales proceeds belonging to cross holdings have very little institutional following. That explains the ridiculous low price of BJLAND although the book value is 84 sen and not revalued. The BERJAYA Group of companies suffer from poor investors perception. It's a big disappointment for minorities and this is compounded when the Regulators are also sleeping on the job allowing VT to get away without performing an MGO when the threshold has been breached for so long.

@ Ahairytrader. Good coverage and analysis of the business. Tekseng is a well managed family run business. Got into trouble when venturing into the solar business. This appears to be behind them now with factory rented out and close to RM120+ million provided for impairment the last 2 years. The Manager owner outfit are hands on. Agree with Ahairytrader of the TP of RM1.45 - 1.50. That's conservative if the present craze on gloves and health related counters are being rated. It's a steal at the closing price of 51 sen premised on the recovery of its business and prospects. Happy trading and good luck to all who owns Tekseng, cheers.

The old lying Toad has again fooled many. Comfort only reported an eps of 2.80 sen for its Mar 20 quarter. Now you know why the major shareholder, D.Lau was selling like no tomorrow. What this lying Toad did not tell you is how much Comfort can make in the next few quarters based on the orders and capacity the company has currently. He tells you that demand exceed supply currently. Even school boys know that. In fact, at his age he should be contented with what he has but is never enough, just like Tun M who is obsessed to be PM again and again. This is the same as this old lying Toad who will do nothing but tell you to buy after buying enough so you can help to push the price up to make him richer. All reputable investment gurus in the World in fact don't divulge to the public what they buy except this self proclaimed super investor. So, be safe than sorry, else you may end up holding the high price that will take you a lifetime to recover, cheers.

How can there be quality when you're making a kill even at RM 5 a pack. Can you imagine how much these guys are selling before they reach our shores? Probably RM 2 a pack. You buy and smoke at your own risk. Even the source of where they are made is unknown. Is like buying a high quality fake Rolex watch for RM 2k and say it's the same quality with the original Rolex watch which is retailed at nothing less than RM 25k. So, for those that can't afford to smoke they shouldn't be smoking and killing themselves faster with low quality cigs.

MIDF is confident of BAT's fundamentals with a target price of RM 15.70. Why fret when you're buying at less than RM 11. Have faith in the management as they manoeuvre through these challenging times before emerging stronger. Even contraband cigarette prices won't remain cheap forever. Moreover, there is high likelihood of stiffer punishment on smugglers to deter their activities. Those hard core followers of BAT and those that can afford won't risk their health further by smoking contraband due to lack of quality control in the production of the cheap cigarettes. So, it will eventually reach a threshold in the marketplace. As the masses improve in their incomes, so will the legal market cigarette buyers, cheers.

@ Investing_bursa. Take a good hard look at other expensive shares in Bursa and tell me which other stock offers a good entry at current price. I can't find many except maybe Allianz. Most businesses also have their ups and downs. The importance is finding a stock with a recession proof business like BAT. They are innovative and spend continuously in R&D to grow the business eg e-cig and is also undergoing rationalisation to reduce OPEX by 20% to improve their margin. If BAT is not faced with some headwinds, do you think you can buy at this cheap price? So, either you see potential in the recovery of BAT's business after 5 years of decline or you can choose not to buy this business. No right or wrong answer. For example, there are alot of people believing that Glove stocks are still cheap as they are going up daily without any let up. If you think they are cheap, you can always try your luck but hopefully you don't get caught at prices that will take you a lifetime to get back. The current PER of all glove stocks are crazy. But for those wanting quick profits, then the risk is worth taking. So, choose wisely your hard earned money for quick gains or the risk of quick losses too, cheers.

When you buy BATMAN at this beaten down price, you're holding practically at record low prices. With decent profit margin on its business and a very good dividend policy, you can't find a better buy among the other expensive peers in the market. The worst is about out with the exception of Q2 which may be slightly worst that Q1, then its recovery thereafter. Market is forward looking and you're buying for a recovery in earnings and the worst is probably behind BAT now. The paramount pre-requisite in buying or choosing a stock should always be 1st, credible management, 2nd, business potential, 3rd, recurring FCF, 4th, good dividend policy and yield, historical low price, and so on.
So, don't complain and have patience when you're buying at once in a lifetime price for long term investment, cheers.

This counter is no where near the current value. All hyped up to trap gullible traders so that a few individuals can make big profits from this current pandemic. As usual, memories are short and even the major shareholder is selling like there is no tomorrow. Be safe and buy shares with known established businesses at big discount today. Better be safe than sorry as the price and production increase of gloves in this stock cannot matched the exponential price increase. You will see this when Comfort report its quarterly result soon. William Cheng should perform a share buyback at this fire sale price. In fact, it's an opportune time to buy back all outstanding shares not owned by him and his companies. Based on Parkson Holdings cash of more than RM 2 billion, it will be so cheap for WC to take Parkson private. I hope WC consider this move to allow shareholders to exit at a fair price. This is because Parkson is worth much more than RM1.69 based on its latest book value on March 20. This is because there are Parkson owned malls worth more than their book value if these malls are disposed for profit in the future. Parkson can be repackaged and relisted later in the future if there is a need.
So, William Cheng if you follow this thread, you should consider this proposition as this is the best opportunity for you to take Parkson private at this ridiculously low liquidation price currently.
