11st August - Received Expression of Interest Letter (EOI) from Constellation Holding (Dubai) to setup a glove manufacturing business.

14th August - Execution of Heads of Agreement (HOA), stated that Kanger will has to complete the acquisition of the Lands within 45 days from the HOA.

19th August - Announced additional 27% of new shares, owners not mentioning in the announcement. Could be the Dubai JV's partner. On the same day, announced a flat (not loss nor profit) quarter report.

24th August - Entered into Sales and Purchase Agreements for lands acquisition for glove factory. On the same day, announced the change in Boardroom, one of the director was replaced by another new guy with glove printing experience.

Guys, a real true condition from genting.
1) ppl are queuing into the casino, good or bad? Every table is now only cater for 3 person, hence casino is now limited number of ppl to going in. Everyone have to Q outside and wait for their turn. You may say that there are plenty of ppl still urge to gamble, but remember the headcount is now reduced more than 60%, not directly proportional to the profit, but less headcount meaning less income, that's for sure.

2) Machine area, 1 machine ON, the other 2 OFF to keep the social distancing. Meaning less machines in operation. So, initially 300 machines, now only 100x machine, 66% less machine in operation.

3) Casino there are more than 1 casinos in Genting, but due to MCO, only the casino near 1st World is opened. The other are closed.

4) Themepark is opened, but it was never contribute any significant profit to GENM. So may just ignore that.

5) Maxim is closed, Themeparkhotel is closed, only 1st first world hotel is opened (Only tower 3, tower 1 and tower 2 remained closed)

Summary, if you think GENM operation is back to full operation? You are wrong. I will say it only operate around 30% or less of its full operation. And this should remain until at least 31st August (unless new MCO rule come out before that).

Even after the RMCO, I don think tourist will return as soon as 1st september. Hence, the business should at least impact GENM business for another 3-6 months before everyone life back to normal.

So be prepared to buy for long term and don expect the business will back to normal soon. It should take at least 1 years or 2 years for GENM to gain back its previous momentum.

Just spread your money into a few batches and keep buying to get the best average price. But, remember, it going to take quite some time to see the fruits. Gambling business will never die, though gambling is not necessity, but it is a "disease". Like during covid19, if you are sick or hit by any other disease, like it or not, you will still have to go to hospital to receive your treatment. Gamblers are sick too, they need to go to casino to receive their treatment.

How's online casino affect Genting business? Just think yourself, how's online doctor services affect the actual hospital business. When you are sick, you need a face to face treatment. If you get to know few real time gamblers, then you should be able to understand what I trying to say.

shpg22, everything in the report may be right or fake. We as an outsider can only guessing. As from your previous posts, you only keep emphasize on History of past two years data, but tend to ignore samchem is doing well in the recent 2x quarters. FCF and OCF(only become negative cause they paid off their bank loan, which is good) both are positive.

Last year, samchem business and CF are not looking good, that's the reason why shareprice was down from RM1.2 to 0.53 at one point. However, due to the recent good quarters, the shareprice had climb from 0.5x to 0.7x. You may just wait for two more quarter reports for you to cross check the yearly CF or business performance, but remember at that time, even you decided to buy in, you have to pay RM1+ as many ppl already act way ahead of you while you are so conservatively waiting for the green signal.

Capex involved:
1) Plant & equipment purchases
2) Building expansion
3) Hardware purchases such as computers
4) vehicles to transport goods

Operating Expenses involved:
1) Rent
2) Utilities
3) Salaries
4) Expense considered sales, administrative expenses
5) Tax

You are saying that expand business do not need to pay rent? salary and marketing and administrative expenses? When Samchem venture into Vietnam, they spent a lot to in marketing.

I respect that everyone may have different view on the same report. However, what if the company is spending large sum to expand their business in Vietnam for past 2 years, then only this two recent quarters, their vietnam business is getting rewarded, that's making their CF getting better??

What I see from the CF and the report is that Samchem
1) is paying less bank interest starting last 2 recent quarters (reduced in loan)
2) vietnam business is recovering and growing
3) declare dividend every quarter (dividend never lie)
4) Cash flow is positive and healthy, making 11-12mil per quarter and paying ~2.3million bank interest every quarter.
5) I don see Samchem taking up any new bank loan.

With those information above, I personally think that the negative cashflow for pass 1-2 years was mainly due to business expansion but not the fishy things. Unless next quarter suddenly they took a new loan again without any huge improvement on their cash flow or venture into new market.

Also, its OCF for last two quarter was around RM11-12millions (before capital changes). Meaning Samchem is making 11-12 millions cash from its operation and each quarter, samchem declare 1 cent dividend which only took Rm2.72million from its account to pay back to the share holder. Making 11-12millions each quarter but pay Rm2.72millions to shareholder you consider not healthy??

Fund managers love counter with consistent dividend. When the recent quarter reported with another 1 cent dividend (date to be announced), which make Samchem paying at least 4 cents per year or 6.8% at RM0.57. On top of the two continuously improved quarters. Now everyone is rushing into this counter and I curious why there are ppl selling at 0.6x. If the share price shot up 3 days continuously with large gap, then you may have to sell to lock down your profit and buy back at lower price later when it retreat. However, for Samchem, it shot up very steadily, then rest for 3 days (to clear off those margin accounts holders), then after T3 it shot up again. This is a uptrend and should be a sustainable one. Anyway, just my 2cents, trade at your own risk.
