You must have crystal ball before you as you knew Jaks at 1.28 was grossly overpriced, at 1.06 is overpriced.

Good that you practice cost averaging, from 95 sen, to 85 sen, 75 sen, 70 sen, all the way down to 40 sen. Provided you believe Jaks's BOD is trustworthy, honest, with integrity, and not having self -enrichment scheme in mind. Otherwise, you will see Lonbis in making..........

So call opportunity cost.

Whether share of a particular counter is overpriced or not, must be taking into consideration of market sentiment, and share price relative to other counters.

Any idea why J@K$ shareholders are not interested to buyback their own shares?

Answer:

1. Jaks has cash flow problem (No SBB)
2. Jaks is overpriced (Not prudent to waste Ah Kong's money to institute SBB)
3. Jaks shares mostly pledged (Check major shareholders AR)
4. Andy Ang can get free shares even when Jaks losing money like nobody's business prior years. If Jaks going to make tons of money in coming years, he can again ask for more free shares. Why should he bother to foot out money when he has 'valid reasons' to ask for more free shares later on?
5. Andy Ang is cash-strapped. Just go and find out what is his personal loan when he bought a piece of land from Lion Diversified in Banting few years back. That piece of land supposed to develop into housing, but was sit idling till now. Andy still has to pay interest every day.
6. If ANDY still capable of raising fund, he should have plan for Rights issue instead of Private Placement. Andy doesn't hold much Jaks share. PP will only dilute his holding.
7. Asking China man to take up Jaks equity by let go another 10% of the power plant may make Andy lose control of Jaks. Andy is no so dumb as to give up his controlling stake.

Just my personal opinion.

Counters with certain characters as major shareholders/ Directors by all means should avoid.
They have proven records of self-enrichment, not trustworthy, no integrity, and some to the extend of cheating with both eyes wide open!

Do your home work.
List down who are those in BOD that may delay your retirement planning.
Find out which one is grossly over promoted right now.
They will all exhibit herd behavior tomorrow under coronavirus tsunami.

As expected, if you put up something bad about Jaks, surely the promoters will go after you.

Everybody must follow KYY.
He exits Jaks year ago.
He knows power business inside out.
First he bought into Mudajaya because of India power project.
He lost a fortune there.
Then he bought into Jaks because of power also.
Again he lost another fortune.

Believe he must have swear no more power play.
Enough is enough regardless what other promoters have to say.

Do you think you are smarter than the superinvestor like KYY?
Do you think KYY can't smell anything when you are able to smell?
Jaks won't go back to 1.80 without driver like KYY.
Who else can buy up to 32% of Jaks if not KYY?
Even with 32% stake, he was not able to drive Jaks higher.

Now Evolve mall is dead.
Now Jaks pays 50m plus interest.
Now Jaks is facing LAD from residential unit buyers with VP not in sight (could be abandon?)

Jaks has to pay 50m plus interest up to the day it pays up.
Simply abuse Malaysian legal system, and to incur unnecessary interest.

Next is to see how much LAD claimed by its residential unit buyers.
Don't be like Magna Prima paying 50k per unit, instead of 100k.
