PE dropped after better earning in Q1 2023 compared to previous Q1 2022.

So, to answer your question..the price is look ‘cheaper’ now, in term of PE.

I believe the price would side way between PE 12.0 - 12.5 for next 2 month..if no ‘big’ news in between.

Ringgit falling like water fall..FF may surprise us again if no action from Bank Negara.

Traders expected ‘outperformed’ QR to make quick profit on the rally.
Since the QR just ‘meet expectation’, traders may brong their money somewhere else.

For long term investors, this might an opportunity..

Maybank QR just meet the expectation..So, traders may dump more..we can collect cheap2 soon..

talking about odd lots..its very special for long2 term investor only..traders shouldn’t consider DRP at all..

worst case if u don’t sell odd lots, u may loss 99 units only..for RHB at current price tak sampai RM550 pun..

finally Tenaga repaired the reverse gear..very powerful reserve, till tyre smoke come out..

Today drop look like profit-taking before Q1 2023 QR releasing week..

kat US, masalah bank ok lagi..masalah lagi besar sekarang, xde duit nak byr debts interest..tgh bincang nak increase debt ceiling..

But if market expecting ‘outperform’ QR…then PE could fly beyond 13.5 also..

Agree..consistent dividend 6-8% is the main reason why we love so much this stock and hold long term..ha ha

I use PE mainly to decide when to top up, to maintain good safety margin.

Maybank overpriced?
Depending what think on PE fair value.

Understand that calculation of Maybank portfolio real avg price and returns, are complicated as involves DRP, cash dividend, re-investment of cash dividend, top up in between, might have some buy and sell during heavy market correction…

interesting to see some quick calculations above :)

every time dividend declared, I calculate how many DRP units i would receive (if DRP offered) and how many units i could buy with cash dividend..

Thats how lazy Maybank investors could be ;)

DRP only available to subscribe, when MBB offer it during dividend announcement.

There is no minimum investment to subscribe DRP, but there will be DRP subscription fees around RM20. Also there could be odd units.

Thus, only consider DRP if plan to hold long term. Otherwise go for full cash dividend option.

If you are using nominee CDS account..your remiser will contact you after ex-date to choose options (if there is DRP option). If only cash dividend offered, nothing to do.

RM8.625 avg price is not a bad avg..after accumulate regularly for some years, and receiving dividends..u would stop bother to see avg price anymore :)

Sell q build up getting scary

yes, very impressive.
managed to top up sikit at closing yesterday :) after seeing huge selling q build up during pre-closing.

CIMB is third largest holding (usd 7.86 bil) after PBB and MBB, in MSCI Malaysia index for April 2023.
Might be major portfolio rebalancing? idk just guessing

or any technical rebound will kick in..

US inflation rate reported below than expected :)

Im doubt guys, when RM8…recession fear will peak..and everyone hold cash tight tight..ha ha..

Finally back to RHB today..bought some @ 5.49

CIMB more suitable for traders, as price fluctuates more compare to Maybank.

how about maybank dividend?
For long term maybank investor, to maximize the returns, the cash dividend portion could be to use to buyback units during market correction.

Hoping for a big special dividend in 2024 :)
