It’s the end of knm but the accumulated assets for sale will give a good cash value .

They are now asset stripping the company. They obviously knew the price they would get which is why they did the write off last quarter.

Everyone now wait for delivery not talk. Tunku already put in place a good plan. He wants to build a proper O&G company. Not the mess currently. Thai Ethanol already in process of being sold and negotiations already in progress. KNM will stay on to deliver factory expansion. UK Waste to energy also in process of being sold. He is reviewing Borsig and its Subs... perhaps if NAV as in accounts is 50cents + he might just sell that too and give cash back to shareholders. But good to finally have a proper plan. Now lets see if it can be delivered.

It is positive the bond has been paid but only because the guarantor paid it. Need still KNM to pay back the guarantor.

got an even better price discount... this is what happens when people try to push share price down...

On behalf of the Board, M&A Securities wishes to announce that the Company has fixed the issue price of the Placement Shares at RM0.13 each.
The aforementioned issue price of RM0.13 per Placement Share represents a discount of approximately RM0.01 or 7.14% from the five (5)-day weighted average market price of KNM from 9 December 2021 to 15 December 2021 of approximately RM0.14 per Share.

It would make sense, it would average down their price and give them control. If they have the cash.
It must be announced soon.
Refinancing is key as then the company has cash from placement and subsidiaries.
Then they can do what they are already in process of doing and asset striping...

no announcement yet, It will have to be announced as either exiting major shareholder increase or new major shareholder. But I believe they have time before they have to announce. Most likely today/tomorrow. But yes good news and would only believe someone would invest if the refinancing was agreed/planned just not executed. (my assumption only)

Never believe a word in forums by anyone.
Some want price to drop, some want it to go up.
Just follow facts and your own research. You are the only one responsible for your investments.

Private placement now complete. Which is good news. But no announcement yet on who which I expect later as has to be announced. I only hope the refinancing is next as the longer it takes the worse for share price it is. https://www.bursamalaysia.com/market_information/announcements/company_announcement/announcement_details?ann_id=3219172

Wait for official announcements don’t speculate.
KNM has ample assets to get loan, just incompetent board and management…

pp shares not taken up yet, only priced. News share price needs to do anything is 1) pp taken up and by who. 2) bond refinanced

Agree, the management and old directors ran the company into the ground and should all go. But even then the companies subsidiaries are too varied to be able to be managed with expertise.

The fact you need and would use a loan to invest is the first red flag

I am glad no one sensible would use this chat board to make any investment decisions

Now looking good. All bad news out. Company has over 200 mill cash, NAV 50 cents. Once it is public who has bought shares will help, then start selling companies and give lots of cash back to shareholders. Just bought more.

Any default is not good news but that was announced 2 weeks ago. This debt is already included in NAV which still values if you asset strip company at 50 cents which is the best option as the separate business worth much more selling than staying as a group. Just be patient

As per their previous announcement they would not raise funding in time for the default. But under current bursa rules they are not pn17 similar to companies like airasia
2021-12-06 17:45 | Report Abuse
If you read the announcement properly it is not in PN17

Read the announcement.. shares just transferred to personal from company… none sold to external party!
Never invest based on chat groups ..
KNM next key good/bad news is take up of 10% private placement and who if they do takes it up if it is.
Then next key is refinancing the bond. Both are critical.
I own shares so obviously not impartial and believe they will do it.
I also believe the board and management are not capable of running this business and much more value from just selling off all the businesses.

The Thai Bonds had matured on 18 November 2021 and under the terms and conditions of the Thai Bonds, KNM has up to 14 days after the maturity date, being 2 December 2021, to pay the principal sum and up to 21 days after the maturity date, being 9 December 2021, to pay the coupon arising therefrom (“Grace Period”), failing which, an event of default shall be deemed to have occurred.

No one would invest RM 50 million unless there was a plan in place. Either build and streamline or asset strip. Either way finally someone who knows what to do. He has also said he wants to clear out useless board.
Just topped up shareholding. Now be patient and wait

Malaysia’s stock market has a bad reputation for a good reason …
Easier than going to Genting…
If you sell just some assets you will not realise value and there is no experience in management to build the company. CFO now CEO … no way he can build valuable business.
Time to sell off all and get value for shareholders.

If yesterday’s news is a surprise to anyone they are not doing there research. The key is that they have now appointed consultants to value and sell assets. They will refinance bond but for a short period. This takes off pressure of fire sale and then can sell all assets at a proper price. NAV is over 50 cents. With time and oil prices up chance can get more. Time to just sell the parts as that is worth more than the company. Sell range between 40-60 cents is good profit for everyone. Then close KNM.
