Otherwise, conflict of interest will happen as in Hunza case whereby capital is misused and interest of minority shareholders is not protected...

Company buyback is good and bad depends on how u c it...

Buyback can be good:
1. Reward shareholder as bonus
2. Cancel and increase EPS as less circulating share and opt for value growth. So, less speculation when your share price is too high for speculators.
3. Sell back into market during high prices to increase company earning

It is bad when:
1. Use the capital to buyback instead of spending in operating and investment activities for revenue
2. Using price stabilization as an excuse to cover management board incompetency
3. Buyback and then PRIVATIZED!!

Lembaga Tabung Haji and Yayasan Bumiputera together ald ~ 14%. You only need 10% disagreement... So, you may doubt the intention behind this news... If true, pls show sincerity coz it's not gonna be easy. If false, pls goreng higher... Haha... Used shareholder (2012 - 2014) money to "grow" the gurney paragon, now just starting to bear fruits and it can be REIT as well... Then you want to set pagar...

This is actually a good phenomenon and signal. The developers should revise their "earning" policy. Why consumers have to be the ones that keep marking up to catch their targets?? Consumers should buy only affordable houses and not pushing their limits to suit them. Let the real supply and demand rule to determine the market price. There should be more cooling policies in Budget 2015.

Just to share my opinion: In the economy full of uncertainty, look for high current ratio and possibly non-current debt free company. A fundamentally sounded company sure will rebound provided chance to restructure loan. It will outgrow the rest if it is cash free as it can seek for more opportunities like acquisition and expansion. Cash is king... So, short term investment is better as it will have faster and easier exit to gather your capital when better option is near by.

Did anyone wonder why all the amt due from subsidiary and associate RM683.749m was put under company instead of group? N while group only had retained earning of ~RM1b but company had ~RM0.76b... Dato’ Thong Kok Khee only had 0.36% of group shares but 24.48% of company shares??? Hahahah....
