The longer oil price stays depressed, the higher the chance of government bringing back GST. If you look around the world, GST (or VAT) is the most efficient tax system by far

Good move! Can reward shareholders and make conditional reward offer to management team if they can hit financial targets

@Miracles and &factbasedinvestor ......... Actually RM 1.40 target I derived from the graph. Based on the first big surge in price from late 2015 to historic high of RM 1.28 in late 2017, if current uptrend follows similar surge due to accelerated demand for KRONO's date management service and product, it should reach RM 1.40 or higher by end of this year. KRONO has done a lot of acquisitions in these few years which should bear fruit during this period.

For KRONO, medium term target RM 1.40 can?

True, but maybe not renewable energy at the moment, with oil prices low, there might be less initiative to swtich to renewable energy

In comparison, Keppel DC Reit currently trades at 30x PE, KRONO trades at 15x PE, still cheap

https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2020/04/20/these-landlords-dont-want-us-to-go-to-work
'SINGAPORE now has two types of landlords. The unhappy ones need folks to show up at offices, malls, hotels and factories, something that’s simply not going to happen in a hurry with the city-state’s coronavirus infections about to hit 6,000.
But there’s also a happy property owner, whose tenants live in the clouds, unaffected by social-distancing norms. For real-estate investment trusts, or REITs, that make money by hosting data, the more people pretend to work from home and watch Netflix, the better.'

I don't think OTB is wrong la, its just the stocks he picked are all growth stocks, and unfortunately if you read the newspaper nowadays, its all about global slowdown, thats why growth stocks are penalised.

Funny how everybody makes sell call and makes every bad comment they can about IFCA just a few days ago, and now suddenly buy buy buy ...
2015-06-12 16:05 | Report Abuse
Anybody will panick when this happens to their company shares la ... But I don't think 'many are deserting IFCA' or that it is 'Game over', the fundamentals of the company remain intact

@ozzie75, personally I do not think ringgit will weaken at a much more significant rate within this short period of time. My reason being the effect of political uncertainty is always exaggerated and the pre-effect is always played out more dramatically than its actual effect. Economically speaking most of the fundamentals are intact and there is not exactly any QE happening and there is no indication that BN supports a weak ringgit, socially there is not exactly any unrest or huge clash ... But of course nobody can say for sure what will happen in the future, just my opinion

@blackul66, I don't think it is really that fair to always penalise investment banks, most of these analyts are not allowed by law to buy or sell shares and it is quite unlikely their reports are shared with the fund management units within the bank which are usually registered as separate entities and more frequently than not located in different buildings

2015-06-12 11:22 | Report Abuse
@accu, actually with the ringgit being so weak, EPF has been more restricted to the local market. Not to mention with the exchange rate, it is actually more attractive for foreign funds with CASH to enter the Malaysian market now

Sorry, was talking on the phone, price too fast, 1.15 can enter, correction to my previous comment

First time after almost two weeks of selling there seems to be support ... If you dare to and wish to take advantage of a rebound, I would think this is the level to enter, 1.13, should be the lowest for today and next week. But of course, I am just analysing and piecing everything I know together, so decide for yourself whether to trade/invest. Inverted hammer should be formed today. Next week before Friday's AGM expect massive rebound.

@siowlang, I think a 3-5% stake should be enough to stabilise the price ... But yes, of course it is not easy. Still, I really agree with your auto cut-loss theory. And because in February the price was around 1.10-1.25, this should be where the massive sell-off stops, the current price 1.12-1.13/the buy-sell queue seems to confirm this as well

@siowlang, I agree, CIMB road show for IFCA latest was in Singapore wasn't it ... Still, IFCA seems to have vaguely found support at its current 1.12-1.13 level.
Further to what ozzie75 said though, please also tell Ken to choose his words more carefully when communicating to the public and not to say things that further erode public confidence of his company. Some of the things he said does not exactly rally confidence .. But yes, the right cornerstone investors will stop this mad selling that is going on!

@gaussian, tomorrow might drop further and Friday has generally not been a good day for IFCA, but I believe speculators/even investors will buy back before AGM. Ken Yong should address this or even if he does not, shareholders will likely shoot questions for him to answer ...
