BCorp wins Vietnam lottery system tender

PETALING JAYA: Berjaya Corp Bhd (BCorp) beat five other bidders to win a tender to operate Vietnam’s computerised lottery system.

BCorp told Bursa Malaysia that the tender involved the investment, procurement, installation and operation of the system.

The company said it would be done in cooperation with Vietnam Lottery Co, a unit of Vietnam’s finance ministry.

It added that it would undertake the business via its indirect subsidiary Berjaya Gia Thinh Investment Technology Co Ltd (Berjaya GTI).

Berjaya GTI is 51% owned by Berjaya Lottery Vietnam Ltd (BLV), which in turn is 80% owned by BCorp and 20% by Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd.

(吉隆坡23日訊）IOI產業（IOIPG,5249,主板產業組）截至2013年3月31日止第三季報淨利8千911萬1千令吉，9個月淨利則報5億零34萬5千令吉。
另外，第三季營業額報3億6千146萬5千令吉，9個月營業額則報10億3千727萬6千令吉。
該公司董事部文告說，產業發展仍然是主要貢獻源，分別佔第三季和9個月營業額的84%和82%，歸功於柔佛和中國廈門產業計劃作出貢獻。
“產業投資業務則佔第三季和9個月營業額的8%和14%，主要貢獻源IOI廣場、One&TwoIOI Square、IOI度假村和IOIBoulavard；娛樂、酒店和其他業務，主要貢獻源則是布城Marriott酒店和Palm Garden酒店。”
董事部表示，大馬、新加坡和中國政府相繼推出穩定房市的措施，但由於這些措施主要為打壓產業投機，並非壓抑基本需求，相信不會影響產業領域的長期可持續增長。
“大馬和新加坡產業市場展望充滿挑戰，尤其是高級房產，整體表現料在今年趨軟，集團擁有重大曝光率的國內大眾產業業務預計成為主要營業額推動力。本財政年至今，我們已連續在廈門推介兩項產業計劃，為集團作出正面貢獻。”
