i don't have time to analyse but maybe someone has to do scenario analysis if only Africa, India, Indonesia, Japan, Europe (50%) buy and the rest is either US or China controlled.

upside risk: glove per capita will skyrocket in the next decade esp from emerging nations (per capita consumption of glove is still low below 20 on avg for EM compared to >100 for Europe etc)

oh and also using 2nd order thinking, we may see further risk that the US may just restrict their allies from buying from TG. (remote but still possible risk)

the stock market is a complex system and you gotta factor in so many things. political risk is now very very real. the US views Msia as friendly to China, add to that the Quads (Japs who are still bitter that Proton got sold to China) + why Msia never got an invite to the climate summit + this whole Top Glove fiasco (in the covert excuse of national security)

the same pattern is observed in other highly strategic industry: look at TSM & semis- how the US is being a bully, and how the whole Xinjiang thing is blown out and we start to see a paranoid empire trying to do everything possible to desperately cling to world dominion!

the risk is Msia is stuck in the middle. any views? i would exercise caution as the macro headwinds in the geopolitical sphere is really being felt... :(
