US doesnt need our crude oil. They have enough on their own with Canada their biggest crude oil importer. US only import 10% crude oil from Russia. Since US ban crude oil imports from Russia, US lifted imports from Venezuela to make up that 10%.
UK and East Europe has to import crude oil and natural gas from Norway which 5x more expensive than Russia price.
EU rely heavily on Russia's crude oil and gas and looking to Saudi, UAE and the rest including Malaysia for crude oil supplies at sell at higher price while Russia supplies their crude oil to refineries in India and PRC at a discounted rate and resell to Asia at cheaper price including Malaysia.
Malaysia inflation rate increased slightly from 2.1% previously to 2.2% now.
Malaysia GDP also growing despite US and EU will be in recession early next year. This is because Malaysia biggest importer is PRC.
Am I worried? No. We have been shielded from US and EU recession many times before EXCEPT when Saudi lowered crude oil price to USD20 per barrel in 2014 due to competition from US Shale oil. US shale oils are not preferred due to fracking process which can lead to environment disaster.
If you all want to buy, wait until market came back to its senses. For now, short sellers and bears use scare tactics and fact distortion to gain profit from others losses.

The U.S. economy is still strong and can handle the planned series of interest rate rises, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said on Wednesday.

3. 99sen. The last time 5199 share price this low was in 3rd February this year with oil production capacity oil 8000bpd and before 5199 completed acquisition of Repsol which 5199 now has trippled its producrion capacity.
4. Sabah SST. Sabah State Minister can to hell and back, he wont get his SST.

Its because we are so easily fooled by shorr sellers and the bears.

Hibiscs are overwhelmed by organized short sellers syndicate. Everytime there is bad news, hibiscs dives 10sen easily. Whereas hibiscs struggles to make 1sen gain on a good day. Look at DNeX. DNeX never recover until now.
Market negative sentiments actually has no effect on Hibiscs earning. Hibiscs now running at 5x more than last year capacity and at a price 2x more than last December.

Hibiscs may propose a split share 1 to 4 in near future. If they don't, Hibiscs share will drop further to 70sen level by the end of June.

Why should Hibiscs pays SST to Sabah?

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah might never get the 20% oil royalty that it is hoping for due to pre-existing agreements with international corporations, says state Barisan Nasional chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

He said the 20% oil royalty is not an easy matter to achieve, which is why the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah, comprising Perikatan Nasional and PBS, will set up a Sabah Petroleum Council among others as per the “Aku Janji” pledge.
He said this is a way to give the funds back to Sabahans as it is not likely that the 5% oil royalty Sabah is getting at present can be increased.

“We have done our research on MA63, and actually, this claim has been made for many years, it is not new, but it is difficult for the Federal Government to approve it, as it is almost impossible, ” Bung said.

He said the agreement was signed after Independence with international corporations including mega companies.
He said Malaysia once had no oil drilling specialty that is why Malaysia needed to use foreign specialists, and the amount was agreed when these agreements were signed.

“So there is no way we can get 20%, ” Bung said.

To this, he said, there are other means to get what is owed to Sabah.
He said elected representatives are here to serve, not to be served.

“We don’t want a chief minister to be treated like a sultan, same goes to elected representatives, no need to act like big bosses where you have bodyguards here and there, ” he said. - The Star

3 weeks later, he was missing and his wife made a police report. Police looked for the guy.
He was found ditched in a monsoon drain in Cheras burnt with mattress wrapped around his body.

An explosion in Texas has knocked out 20% of US LNG export capacity for at least three weeks

One of the largest US plants producing liquefied natural gas (LNG) for export has been damaged by an explosion and fire. The incident has forced the Texas Gulf Coast facility to cease operations in a move expected to impact European and Asian markets.

“As a result of today’s fire, Freeport LNG’s liquefaction facility is currently shut down and will remain shut down for a minimum of three weeks,” the company announced on Wednesday night, providing no further details.

EIA data showing the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve falling by a record of more than 7 million barrels last week, some two million more a week than in mid-May.

The SPR’s balance stood at 519.3 million barrels for the week ended June 3, down 7.3 million barrels from the prior week to May 27, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its Weekly Petroleum Status Report released Wednesday.

The drawdown compares with the 5 million barrels taken out of the oil reserve during the week to May 13. - EIA

The SPR balance itself remained at 35-year lows, hitting a trough last seen in March 1987.

Goldman Sachs on Tuesday said oil could hit $140 a barrel in coming months. Oil remains off its all-time high just shy of $150 a barrel set in 2008, but gasoline prices have hit records, with analysts blaming tight supplies of products on both sides of the Atlantic and limited refining capacity.

Crude markets rose for a fourth time in five days, hitting a high of almost $125 a barrel for a three-month peak, as oil bulls wagered on the rally continuing after positive data on U.S. gasoline consumption set aside fears of demand destruction from record high fuel prices.

China’s emergence from Covid scares could boost greater demand for oil from the world’s largest importer of the commodity, while an oil workers’ strike in Norway this weekend threatens to further curb global supplies, traders said. - By Barani Krishnan

Its very unlikely. Short sellers love bad news. They short without basis.
Sabah Government wont take action on HPB because Kinabalu block is under PSC. They will drag Petronas and Malaysian Fed Government to court which Dr M and Shafie would like to. Both of them wants money for personal gain. Since Sabah is now under BN rule, we will see they will not pursue this in court.

Sabah has no rights to ask for SST from RML and HPB since Malaysian Government have given them royalty every year.
Sarawak on the other hand can ask for SST only if any oil companies use their storage, distribution facilities.
Labuan belongs to Sabah once under Mohd Salleh tenure. Once Mohd Salleh got to know Dr M wanted Labuan to be a part of FT, Mohd Salleh bought acres of land in Labuan esp in Asian Supply Base, Layang-Layang. Mohd Salleh made a fortune at that time.
In many case, GLC often asked by IRD to pat arrear taxes which many GLC filed court cases to ask permission not to pay e.g. TNB. In many case, GLC won.
In short, there is no risk that HPB will have to pay Sabah Government SST.
FYI.

In Malaysia, Hibiscs is as the same top tier as other oil operating company e.g Murphy's oil, Carigali-Hess, Shell Sabah, PTTEP, Petronas Carigali and etc.
I was from oilngas industry [upstream] where other ppl commute to work by car, we commute to work by heli or OSVs. Hibiscs has expertise to turn brownfield blocks to greenfield unlike Petrofac UK.

Many analysts foresee crude oil and natural gas will either remain at elevated level or even go higher. Everyday, crude oil goes up, this will increase daily revenue for hibiscs.

Crude Palm Oil rose to MYR7124.50 as at 25th May 2022 - MPOB

Oil prices rose on Friday, closing out the week with gains ahead of the U.S. Memorial Day holiday weekend, the start of peak U.S. demand season, and as European nations negotiate over whether to impose an outright ban on Russian crude oil.

Brent crude rose $2.03, or 1.7%, to settle at $119.43. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose 98 cents, or 0.9%, to settle at $115.07 a barrel. For the week, Brent rose 6% while WTI gained 1.5%.
Data released Wednesday from the U.S. Energy Information Administration showed a larger than expected draw in the crude oil inventories last week, which implies greater demand and is normally considered a bullish factor for crude oil prices.
