No, Icon, to say you are not right is not right itself, your point is valid, I personally do think so. No stock is perfect, every company has its own strengths & weaknesses.

It will getting too far to argue too deep on all points because it will never end, trust me. We will fall into the trap of dead end road. Think what everyone said & read yourself, if you are still not sure, why not step aside to observe closely how it turn out. It's also part of learning process in emhancing investment skills.

To be frank, it's tough to change mind for veteran investors lah, hahaha

Hi Icon, I knew the issues that you've highlighted in your comments before I made my investment decision on Ekovest. As you have said, no one can be 100% right. I took my decisions after considering all facts that made available to us.

But we all agreed that there is no guarantee of success in business, then what about share price?

To me, investment is about upside vs downside, hard works & luck play in between. The quality of management is important factor in keeping the risks low & rewards high.

Even we are so different at our own picks for 2017 due to different risk appetite & financial ability, but for veteran investors like you & me, we know what we want & what we can do & can't.

Everyone will have their own interpretation on the future figures, most important is to read all news & reports yourself to make decision at your best understanding.

I think the following key points need to consider, other than purely look at figures:

1. How much will ekovest get from EPF at worse? 970million cash
2. How much project in hand before Borneo Highway JV? More than 5b
3. How much projects ekovest has concluded in the past 3 months? It's more than 1b
4. The ability of the management & their willingness to reward shareholders. Think about special div.

Price is what you paid for the value

EPF has approved to proceed to buy 40% Kesturi after the due diligence on Duke 1 & 2. They have something that we will never have, every details of figures. If they have proved right on PLUS highway like what moneySIFU said, then it's our turn to think what will be right for us to act now?

My wish on my selection:
1. All green at end of year
2. Target return = 30%
