Hmm whats going on ? Why the sudden jump

Very dependent on moving forward will intel outsourced test and assembly to TSMC or other osat players. If yes, many test ecosystem in Penang will be affected. Eg penta, greatect, uwc and more.
Need to see intel overall direction. For now seemed like intel is losing to tsmc and samsung in terms of fab manufacturing capibility.
2020-07-25 10:11 | Report Abuse
Intel might need to outsource their productions to tsmc for upcoming gen chips. So much pressure for intel to go fabless, this will be bad for Penang Tech if it happen.

Off market transaction usually won't create direct retracement ya. Unless the new holder decided to immediately offload onto the market. If this is an operator move, usually they will create demand for this stock and slowly offload it throughout the process as retail demand take it off their hand. If the offmarket disposal is to a long term share holder and not operator, it will be almost the same like the director holding it and never disposed at all.
2020-07-05 14:13 | Report Abuse
Operator share swap i guess. This stock daily trading volume is low, but there is always sudden spike. Operator is creating a market for it, else no way for big shareholder to realize gain without severely affecting the price due to low average volume during disposal.

2 main executive director with majority share. This is the first time they disposed since IPO if not mistaken

@eatcoconut woah insider worrr. For those that interested in UWC, you need to follow intel + agilent closely imo. It's like the Inari - Broadcom relationships.

@gala is wrong info. Profit maybe 10mil only or maybe less, althought got 10+mil from investment disposal, but main group still bleeding money from operations loss in main business. Lucky they disposed if not qr will be super ugly.

This is a company with 300m market cap holding 28% of another 500m market cap share. So basically quite a value buy if you take their investment holding into considerations. That's why director is accumulating

This rebound can thank Msian gov for being flexible. UWC has good order book, if no shutdown required meaning some of UWC client will divert even more order for them to fulfill during this period. As other competitor / other country sub-con may need to shutdown.

Finally true value for this counter is reach. This stock can go long if you like.
Almost zero debt, cash flow positive. Exposure to medical and lab testing equipment as well as 5g technology. Clients are stable MNC so possible to benefit from weak MYR.

This is due to the MNC themselves such as Apple, Microsoft, Intel has lowered guidance due to covid19 outbreak.

@ruby nowadays most trader/investor no longer looked into the company business or its fundamental like what you did. People wanna earn quick buck, all speculate on feel good story. As you can see blue chip is down but mid and small cap is up by quite alot this year.
I believe cause many had not experience a crash or for the experience one they have forgotten what a crash feel like. Low interest rate and high liquidity is creating euphoria in the mid/small cap.sector. Also a lot of newbie that never got burn before.

Oh boy, suncon and both malayan cement revenue is down. Meaning most likely Chin Hin revenue will also be down.
Also increase in cement price actually has negative effect on Chin Hin as they deals in concrete and the main raw material is cement. An increase in cement price will mean increase in cost and impact towards bottom line.
Most likely this year result is not good. The optimistic part is that most construction counter see better result FY2020 as infra spending resume and possible stimulus action by gov.
2020-02-18 09:54 | Report Abuse
Looking forward to see stabilization in earnings from core activities while positive growth contribution from solar associate and possible spill over effect from government soon to announce stimulus package. Resumption on infra spending at west malaysia could also benefit them.

Dont know. But its well diversified. So even construction is down now still got income from their manufacturing export business and solar associates.
Expect better earning forward once construction sector recover

In the end, actually was shark running away rather than buying low.
