7nm and 8nm chip foundry needs more high end equipment = higher cost.. higher gross margin too
silterra lower end chip foundry needs lower end equipment = lower cost.. lower gross margin too.
all in all.. it should be on par.. just by comparing other mediatek.. ilitek and etc etc.. 30-40% gross margin is acceptable and doable.. trevor.. cry more.

not comparing both in term of price.. we are comparing in term of profit vs revenue ratio.. if silterra wants to do well, it needs a healthy ratio.. that's how investors from the globe will invest in silterra.. if you just want kampung jaguh invest then.. gg.com

Despite intense engagement over the past six weeks
2021-12-16 08:08 | Report Abuse
Dyson said it had commissioned an audit of working conditions at ATA IMS earlier this year, the results of which were received on Oct 4.
In addition, it was informed in September of a whistle-blower making allegations about unacceptable actions by ATA IMS staff and immediately commissioned an international law firm to undertake a further investigation, Dyson said.
"Despite intense engagement over the past six weeks, we have not seen sufficient progress and have already removed some production lines," Dyson said in a statement to Reuters. "We have now terminated our relationship with six months of contractual notice."
ATA IMS did not immediately respond to a Reuters' request for comment.

see dyson bro.. its unlikely for a big corporate to make big announcement then go back to eat its own word. if they wish to continue to do business with ataims.. then they sure ask them to sort it out and give them chance without announce it. if announce already, meaning they already have replacement supplier on stand by.

(Reuters) - Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk was named Time magazine's "Person of the Year" for 2021, a year that saw his electric car company become the most valuable carmaker in the world and his rocket company soar to the edge of space with an all-civilian crew.
Musk is also the founder and CEO of SpaceX, and leads brain-chip startup Neuralink and infrastructure firm The Boring Company. Tesla's market value soared to more than $1 trillion this year, making it more valuable than Ford Motor and General Motors combined.
Tesla produces hundreds of thousand of cars every year and has managed to avert supply chain issues better than many of its rivals, while pushing many young consumers to switch to electric cars and legacy automakers to shift focus to EV vehicles.
"For creating solutions to an existential crisis, for embodying the possibilities and the perils of the age of tech titans, for driving society's most daring and disruptive transformations, Elon Musk is TIME's 2021 Person of the Year," the magazine's editor-in-chief, Edward Felsenthal, said.

Gas prices near record highs as Berlin rejects pipeline from Russia
Gas prices across the UK and Europe are on course to return to record highs after Germany said a controversial pipeline from Russia could not be approved amid deepening tensions on the Ukrainian border.
The German foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock, said the Nord Stream 2 pipeline could not be given the green light in its current form because it did not meet the requirements of EU energy law.
Baerbock added that the escalating tensions on Russia’s border with Ukraine, where the Kremlin has reportedly amassed 100,000 troops, was “also a factor” because Berlin had agreed with the US that the pipeline should not be used as a political weapon in Moscow’s deteriorating relationship with Kyiv.
