after 23rd July announcement of proposed private placement of 10%, this counter was hit pretty bad.....but the estimated time frame for the completion of the exercise is around 3 months time.

If 3 months time from the date of announcement, it is 23rd Oct 2013 tentatively .....

But prior to that, certain conditions need to be satisfied as per announcement dated 27th August 2013 :-

1)Tropicana and KIBB must fully comply with the relevant provisions under the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities (“LR”) pertaining to the implementation of the Proposed Private Placement; ~ is this one done ?

2)Certified true copy of the resolution passed by the shareholders in a general meeting approving the Proposed Private Placement; ~ I think this one was done according to the announcement dated 28th August 2013 & 13th September 2013

let you secure to buy 1000 shares UMW-O&G if you hold 1000 shares of UMW not good enough? if hold 2,000 shares must secure to buy 2,000 UMW~ O&G shares ? walao le, you still hold 61% UMW O&G through UMW ...

the pie chart thing ?....really lazy until this level....quarterly results notes got state....simply pick up one quarter or last year annual report, you will see the rough figure contribute by their O&G segment

Focus on underlying, not WA movement. Equation is always when mother move, the son will move. If mother show sign of losing strength, take profit immediately . If you rely on WA movement, you always will be the last one to exit.

Underlying resistant & support level is much more important than WA itself

@newboy, this warrant is structured warrant. It is issued by IB, you cannot convert it to mother share but will only receive cash settlement should the warrant is in money upon expiry.

What is your estimated time of play? what you are expecting within the timeline ? If you intend to do hit & run for t+3 period, go for lowest ratio, as it offer the most sensitive movement when underlying move. If you can hold over t+3 period, go for higher gearing

if looking at the gearing offered, it will narrow the selection to only CM,CP & CR

CP will be the pick if you consider the tenure, ratio (sensitivity), gearing level. The only problem with it will be the issuer is Maybank & the average volume traded still low compare to CM
