Planterman, you are right. However, what they once were, aren't very much gonna make any miracle happening. I have known also companies who were once great but dropped till even their mother could not recognise them. Boustead was an old name, a name of foundation. But today, it no longer holds that stature in their stocks. We may love their business, but profits and loss sometimes revolve around, who they have to pay and who is " really " running the company as well. A supposedly profitable company can become unprofitable too under the wrong " real " management. I think we know this country by now.

As I said, I am holding Boustead, I buy in late, only at 0.72 average price. I am now still at the loss. I am now cursing it to drop further. I am hoping it go to high fast. I am merely saying, I can't really see the light at this juncture, which is worrying for myself. But I will still say it, despite it being in such state.

i_investors : My reply is a basis to another poster who claimed Pharma gives out huge dividend and when they do give 100mil, Boustead takes 56mil.

The analysis is , if we based on Pharma dividend to determine Boustead price rise, what happens to those that they're holding that aren't giving out those dividends and some who making lost which are more than the profit they will take in? Does it mean, price goes down?

The point is, Pharma dividend cannot be the yardstick for us to determine that Boustead price will go up. They're no only holding Pharma. They are holding many, which one of them is Pharma.

Boustead does hold pharma but at the same time it held also many others, which aren't making money. I am holding boustead because I bought high. Of course I want it to fly. However on another side of analysis, if Pharma wins them some and others lose them more, wouldn't that be like, masuk RM1 keluar RM2 ? So 1 tolak 2, what do we have? -1 ?

Datasonic in 2015 December confirms a win in passport supply chip worth over 300million. The price in Dec was approx 1.45 range. The price in Jan/Feb 2016 after announcement is approx RM1.14.

If they receive the RM150 million project, how much do we expect the share price to rise? I am curious.

@bigdaddy, you can see it anyway you want. I have no power over your perspective nor can I say you're wrong. But observing this company since the day it got listed, this is the trend I see. Very rarely their price went up because they're awarded with projects, sure, movement, rarely great UPS. Sometime when the great UPS happen, you don't really even know why. Its UP for no particular reason. I have witness also many times when Mykad was extended, etc, the price went down. Does the company has value in stocks? Yes it does, technicaly. But do people buy because of value? Seemed like most buy because of rumors anyways. So value isnt much a topic of concern here. How many discuss the real book value and buy it because of that here?

We buy only because of potential projects, so if potential projects is what we are looking at, I asked the question, what are the potential projects? Currently IKAD is in " Rumor " stage. I said rumor because no announcement yet. But let's give it that it materialise. RM150million is a lot for the company ? As compared to their expenses? Looking at their report, even if the profit is 100%, it would only last them possibly 1.5 to 2 years with that kinda value. It is sufficient to pay salary. What about projects that increase the company's worth?

Mykad project is ending year 2020. Of course they're confident to continue the project. I have yet to hear any directors claimed they're not confident to win a project but they're gonna try for it. Have you?

These are just all question points. I am not making claims that these are accurate. I am holding Datasonic for now, got it after hearing about the IKAD rumors as well. Didn't buy in a lot. Small money to buy dinner.

Iris has been dead for almost 5 years upon losing their Mykad project. Dsonic's current largest or maybe only bread and butter is Mykad.

If you examine the current management and staff of Dsonic you will realise they are mostly from Iris as well. So just imagine one day, when Dsonic loses the Mykad project what would they be left with.

Dsonic is one of the most goreng stock for a government project based company with it's sole largest direction Chew Ben Ben purchasing its own company stock non stock to push price up. Sometimes you can see it on a monthly basis.

Many bought because of the faith they have in Chew Ben Ben. But what project can he potentially bring in for Dsonic in the coming 2 years, 5 years? From the news at least,it sounded like none. 150 million Ikad? We have seen projects of that magnitude being brought in and prices still slump right after announcement.

Question is, if they really did win the Ikad project, will it go up once it's announced? Question, if it will really go up, how much? 2%? 5%? 10%? 20%? Any thoughts? I repurchase upon the Ikad " rumor ". If it really is lucky to go up after, I am leaving again because I no longer see potential in this company. It has gone quiet, less rumor, less activity on projects, they seemed to be very selective on what business to take on and a family run company. Let's hope the Ikad is real and that it really moves it.

@profitgrow, the date is 14th of July, I did notice it. It also tells me it is only 2 weeks ago. It tells me that , our government has an ultimate plan to do what they say in this video. Unless the date is 2 years ago, I don't see why this date makes the ultimate plan not work.

There are many possibilities to it. It depends on what you want to speculate. I can speculate many things and you can too, but none will be true until it happened. So basically with this video and his recent statement, I can speculate that, he wanted DPharma and Pharmaniaga perhaps to go towards the direction of manufacturing vaccine and then with the statement of when it comes, it is " not limited to Dpharma and PHarmaniaga " can mean that, others can also be given the rights to fill and pack, but what if the fill and pack is to mean that Dpharma and Pharmaniaga now starts to manufacture vaccine and others are given the rights to fill and pack vaccine manufactured by them? His exact words is " once it is found....". He didn't say, once it is brought into Malaysia. You of course can argue many more against this speculation but your argument will be another speculation. You will think you're right. I on the other hand won't think I am right, but will only think there is many possibilities. I really did get my news from someone inside, so I add the word " take it with a pinch of salt " . I cannot guarantee it but I trust that source to a certain extend. I used to hold Dsonic and the warrants. Didn't make from the mother but later during MCO made some from the warrant. I have exited it all after my " friend " told me they're out.
