Beginner1989. I am not selling MAS. Just my humble opinion. When it drops, DO NOT PANIC. Calculate your average to a level that you think you can tolerate the losses. Since you got stuck at the top, get the lowest price and averaging again. Buy smaller lots. when the price start to move up, averaging again if you sell at this price, what is the average price again.

I am averaging for one counter. Initial, it was 0.12, it dropped to 0.065. After multiple purchase, my average lower to 0.88 and the current price is 0.070. IF AND ONLY IF the market price reach say, 0.95, I will sell part of lots, and I did recalculate the average after selling, the new average becomes 0.0705!! Interest eh! Go figure.

optimusx8888, another area you may want to analyze. Your total of all capital and shares according current market price. What is the percentage of gain or loss. For me, 4 counters loss, and 3 counters gain. Average in term of percentage. My, -6.15% as of today. Last few day was +14.5%. As I said before, "Greed, murder my profit" , damn, double damn...

optimusx8888, Averaging your buy and sell. Make sure your average price is lower than the current market price. Before buying or selling, recalculate your average price then buy or sell.

I am doing averaging and recalculate before buying and selling, almost everyday. Trying to get lowest price, and off cause lower the losses.

Example
my current average price is 0.1736, if I sell @0.200, my new average will be 0.1560
If my average price is higher @0.200++. I will not sell, also depend on my capital. The only way, if I have sufficient capital, I will buy at lower price, @0.190 or lower. Say, 0.010 to 0.015 different then buy in small lots to lower my average price.

Try using Excel, and you will be glad knowing your average price instead calculating how much gain or loss.

more like around 0.205 - 0.215 range. after that the price will ding dong around 0.210-0.225 for few days to a week or so.

I am supporting MAS. Not political parties or cronies. It is the public or the whole country that may get into mess if we don't assist MAS. Just part of the parcel. Whether we like it or not, reviving MAS is crucial. Ignoring it, is like ..."we might as well migrate..." If we can prevent the country going down to the drain, at least 100 lots of share might help. Who knows, what will it be in near future before I kick the bucket! Better deal, sell to it Singapore Airline. This will cause the share price to sky rocket to the moon. Ini Kali Lah.

Between AirAsia and MAS, I will take MAS. At least, missing once is enough. As for AirAsia, who knows it might goes MIA one day.

Old chicken, have lots of counters to monitor. MAS is one of the counter that I am more interested. My guts feeling is telling me, this counter has a good future. I am looking forward at about 1.5 to 3 years. Me worried, nah.

6. worst term, Ah jib kor confirm MAS file bankruptcy.
7. worst term again, another missing plane.
8. worst come to worst, buy and lose the investment.
9. come to a term where you have to decide what is the best price range that you want to get out.

11. come to a term again, we all need a better life then a share market.

@Ring, agree without much disagreement about MAS. Still, I will just invest it for long term purposes. As stated, whatever I invested into any share counters or any businesses, I already considered it as gone, lost, or whatever. If only if that counter does bring some fruit in near future, off cause I will be glad. I don't have any pressure or worried. And on top of everything, I spread my investment to many counters. Some gain, some lost. If I still think the particular counter isn't doing what I am expecting, well, I just cut lose or gain. Life is to short too worried about every damn thing in this small world. Very small market. 30millions plus of souls in Malaysia. If MAS + Khazanah = kick the bucket. it will create one biggest hell of change of events.

Think about these chain reaction.
1. currently paying for car installment, how many will default payments?
2. what about houses installment?
3. how many companies rely on credit to do business?
4. with the current level of salary they have, how many months can the employees survive?
5. too many .....

If we don't support the company, too bad, sayonara to the whole country is the best word.
IT IS A MULTIPLE CHANGE OF EFFECTS. Those talk nonsense will get affected and have no ideas what hit them.
Solution: Change the management + gov + employee's attitude.

5. missed the best price, so to hell with it.

7. remember, get a life
8. still not sure, invest in the Fixed Deposit which is guaranteed by the BNM
9. still not sure again, work, enjoy life, and stay healthy.

Very simple economy. If both Khazanah and MAS kick the bucket, the rest GLC that linked to them will be following them to Zimbabwe. Every skin coloured in the country will be in deep sh!t. Don't assumed those people working there are a bunch of a$$e$. I doubt they will be making another effing mistake again. JMHO
