This coming quarterly results will be bad. The reasons are :

- higher revenue in the construction activities of Duke Phase-2 project in 2016.

-fair value adjustment for investment properties of RM113.00 million net of deferred tax during the quarter in Q4 2016.

Hopefully this stock will continue to boom today. It is an undervalued stock and have lots of growth potentials

@Biker : Admin and general expenses increased because of loss on financial instruments of 3mil. Higher steel price shall be parked under cost of sales and they are one off corrections of losses for this Q and will not be brought forwards to next Q.

Hopefully the market price will recover a bit.

There should be a net pprofit increase.by 15% instead of reduced by 11%

KYY dumping?

Any idea when will the ECRL / LRT 3 projects will be awarded?

I expect some profit taking activities to occur today on Padini based on the recent run. But government fund buying should be able to support the price from going down.

Nothing is impossible. Econpile is known for its good track record and consistently getting infrastructure projects from govt. Most importantly, it is able to maintain profit margins and growth.

Pros & Cons of Government funds investing in public listed companies :


Pros:

- govt fund confidence n support for company growth n future prospects

- better opportunities for company to grow / get govt jobs ( but unlikely for kerjaya )

- the fund usually will keep shares quite long time and selling only if profited > 10-20%


Cons :

- difficult for company to grow due to veto power if govt funds accumulated a lot of shares.

- will sell the shares and flood the market with free shAres -- increase share liquidity and volatility

- they will sell companies which they had profited to cover companies which they lost money .
