These analysts are by nature biased. Most of their reports are after the fact, and to serve their ( and bosses?) purpose. I normally just take them at face value, their use to me for investment purpose is , regretfully , minimal.

It is with concern that I read Vietnam and Singapore has now overtaken us as the fourth and fifth biggest GDP in South East Asia. We may still debate about the merits of our much aligned NEP or whatever name it is now, but our neighbors don't give two hoots about our racial politics because life goes on. Until and unless we have a leader who can raise our country above this, we will be aligned with the bottom rung clique ie. Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Timor Leste shortly.

Malaysia is fortunate to have home grown industries - electronics, gloves , furniture and raw commodities. Otherwise we will be just another Cambodia or Myanmar.

Assuming the next dividend is 0.40 RM, it's already at 5.00% payout, much better than current FD rates.

A growing and dividend stock like TG at RM 6.00 is very, very undervalued. Many retailers are willing to invest more. However, some are talking about RM 15.00 which may not be realistic. This may be possible in the future with more expansion and growth / dividends.

Evidently, there is manipulation by JPM with the ultra low RM 3.50 TP and continuous bad press. Retailers are getting screwed and expecting to just keep quiet. This time they want their voices to be heard. Let's see next week how the show will unfold. I am just an ikan bilis but I think this is an interesting development.

Malaysian industries are the backbone of our country's economy and provide huge taxes to the government and employment to thousands of people. Amongst them, the glove manufacturers are the world's top producers. We need to recognize their value not trample them. I agree with glove haricut's comments.

1. Retailers are not in a position to fight with big funds out to manipulate prices. 2. Supermax need to improve their dividends as a payback to investors to make the share more attractive.
