targeted audience article, kikikikik. thanks
how you come out with your initial capital ? at what age you did that ?
since you mentioned it at your concluding remark (1) - "It depends on many factors such as your age, your annual finanical needs, the ease of you getting back to work force, etc (if it is very easy for you to get back your job, you can go full time investing even if you have only RM100,000 capital, right ? "
you worked with IB prior wasn't it until you go full time?

hello, orange88
sometime, over excessive promotion will potong stim. your at different level, your readers are at different level
those who are at same level & better level then you, to them it is acceptable. to the newbies, there are just not fast enough & haven't reach to the level.
It is quite true that sometime we do more damage than good without us realizing. Hence, moderate or tune down might not necessary be a bad thing do.
if you didn't realize it, you see how promoters shout at HY every minutes, every hour & every day. Potong stim or not the feeling? you put yourself in their shoe, this is how other ppl will look at it, also same same potong stim feeling

Alex, wa chui sui another post
Gearing :
Select the higher the better, ppl into CW because of gearing effect. Don't select gearing that is unreasonable high. Too high gearing normally imply that the CW gonna end up as toilet roll.
Premium:
Select the lowest as possible because the lower the premium, the more likely the CW would move as underlying. However, this premium level can be compromised if , the underlying if in superbull mode, there is only single CW available, IB is doing a good MM activity. Low premium or discount normally imply the CW is nearing expiry or the stupid IB don't do their job.
Exercise Price : Select the slightly out of money or in money. If you select deeply in money, you won't get optimum gearing. If you select deeply out of money, you will get unreasonable gearing level. This correlate to gearing selection.
Warrant Ratio:
Select the lowest the better because it would be most sensitive to underlying price movement. You don't want to end up seeing underlying moving but the CW not moving due to the high ratio of 1:20 , 1:25 or 1:30.
After above all is overlaid / cross each another, pick the one with best parameters.
Then start assessing elements that cannot be taught in book.
IB / MM
Who is the IB ? Is the IB fair.....this parameters always changing. You only know it by experience if you had fought with them 1 on 1.
Psychology
No matter how good your selection is as above, psychology counts. Ppl have tendency to opt for cheapest selling unit disregarding all the parameters. This is because , most of the punters don't any know how about the CWs. Nevertheless, most of the time, the know how players will determine the play/selection. You see the highest volume - most of the time, that is the issue that you need to go.
To be honest, if you get more dump ppl in the pool, it is easier to make money compare to a pool with all the sifu rank / grand master rank.
Last & not least, DO NOT INITIATE POSITION if the underlying do not have CATALYST on it. This is the mantra. Not which CW will perform better than which. Underlying no catalyst , no matter how good your CW selection - you will be burned.

thing are not as easy as understanding the theoretical behaviors
real hands on battle would provide the shortfalls for thing cannot be found in the book
psychology....pool of not well verse players....IB market making.....risk of premium dropping if IB not defending the premium....risk of IB not doing any buy back
Dragon kor kor....wa come here tok kok.....chui sui ok la....don't put me in this position
Alex...real fighter - even 2 months period of maturity consider very very long if the underlying is on thematic surge
bye bye

because hor....there is a gearing element in the CW
with gearing , if you use same capital, take example for CA as demo
Say you have RM 8030. Theoretically you can purchase 1,000 units of HengYuan at present ( disregarding other expenses for the purchase to make the illustration simple ).
However, if you want to HengYuan-CA with same capital, you a leverage exposure
CA ratio is 8:1, at current price of RM 0.41,
8 x RM 0.41 = RM 3.28
this 8 units of CA = 1 unit of HengYuan underlying exposure.
If you use same RM 8030 to wallap HengYuan-CA at current price of RM 0.41 , the leverage you get is RM 8.03 / RM 3.28 = 2.448 times.
Means, if mother have capital gain of RM 0.10 , the same capital use to buy CA will gives you capital gain of 2.448 x RM 0.10 = RM 0.2448
If it move the opposite direction, capital reduction of -RM 0.10 , you will suffer a total loss of -RM 0.2448.
leverage means = multiple / magnifying effect. of course above only tok kok on theoretical calculation.
er hiao bor? kikikiki
i foresee you will be ready to pay the market the tuition fess

if you itchy hand need to touch the TG's CWs, go for C77. That is the best selection mixture. Gearing at 2.46 ( you are leveraging , go for max ), premium at 10% deem reasonable, at the unit price of 0.625, it will draw more interest over C74 which is price at 1.20.
