Others things to consider is
1) material cost - Need to consider whether it is in US dollar?
Buy from local company? Import from foreign company? How many percentage it consists?
2) Labour cost, rental expenses, depreciation expenses, oil price, electricity price
Basically, this one you need to see where their production operated. If in Malaysia, it should be consider cost saving as all of this paid in ringgit Malaysia. If outside Malaysia, not much benefit they will gain as only Malaysia ringgit depreciated the most
3) Government policy for foreign company
Basically you need to know about their countries. Whether any changes in minimum wages, electricity cost, oil price, tax rate and others
4) Competition
Are the company you invested have competitive advantages?
Will you company force to reduce price by customer when they know that your cost of sales reduce so that they will continue supporting you?
These is my opinion. I might be wrong.

Question 1: Correct
Question 2: Average currency rate
I give my own opinion here. Revenue should used average currency rate.
I posted my simple example for my explanation (for your information, this is only example, might not be right as sales might be more for some months for the company and lesser for some months of the company)
Let's say
There are 3 sales in last quarter
1st October 2015 - USD100 or RM300
1st November 2015 - USD100 or RM400
1st December 2015 - USD100 or RM500
Currency rate
1st October 2015 - USD1 =RM3
1st November 2015 - USD1 =RM4
1st December 2015 - USD1 =RM5
Average rate of USD = (3+4+5)/3=RM4
So total sales is RM1,200.
Hence average rate should probably be the best indication for counting revenue.
But u also need to consider the ending rate during that months. If there is big changes, the company will suffer losses.

At least the profit is growing. Once profit, thr company directly declare dividend.
No like Mercury, profit keep on dropping. Management no choice and then put inject another useless shit construction company that going to br no more project in two years so he can cheat money from Mercury. Now make Mercury money less like shit.

As I mention earlier, from the announcement, he already transfer 3.7millions shares out to other people.
You have no idea he hold how much in his grandson, granddaughter, relative account.

i still holding since RM6.78. Then continue add on when drop to RM6.26. After result out then someone say KYY disposing, i add some on RM7.10. Until now still no announcement from bursa stated that KYY is disposing even a single share. Also the share price move up since then. I start to doubt "someone" credibility to claim that KYYis disposing latitude

What is group amount? It is like a family. Subsidiary is like brother and sister. When u wan show as a family amount, surely wont show the amount owe between brother and sister la. Noob.
You dont have any accounting knowledge please dun talk cock.

Valuegrowthinvestor: for your information, for 31/3/2014, the profit is so good due to disposal of one of the building. Hence u cannot say that 31 Mar quarter, the result must be good
2016-01-05 12:35 | Report Abuse
Keep in mind all the cost is calculated in ringgit as all of the factory for SHH located in johor.

Ronnietan: I disagree with some of your points
Yup, some furniture will have a weak season during 1st quarter but it only affect for the company which have a long holiday during chinese new year. A good example to see is Prlexus and Pohuat which most of their revenue generated from Vietnam.
I also disagree with you that 30 Sept is the strongest quarter for exporters.
In fact 31 Dec is the strongest quarter for furniture exporters as the company will export more furniture during christmas season.

This company benefited from the depreciation in USD. As the cost of production is in ringgit, the appreciation of USD will increase the competitor advantages with country such as vietnam as the cost of production (labour cost, logistic cost, rental and etc) calculated in malaysia ringgit.
Think about this, if they sell furniture to foreign company, they can offer a much lower price as the cost is much lower in term of USD in global market. Hence the sales volume will increase if they lower down the price (in term of USD) as they able to offer much lower price to compare other furniture maker that setting up their factory outside Malaysia.
Other than that, the company incurred loss on derivatives of RM1.9mil of derivatives cost with the currency rate of RM4.40. If you look on the currency on RM4.29429, hence profit on derivatives will incurred.
If loss on derivatives did not incurred, the company will have extra 3.8sen profit for their account. Hence 6.96+3.8=10.76 sen for next quarter at least

Question 3: It is adjustment for reserves in balance sheet.
Example:
30/6/2015: USD100,000 in their reserves in Vietnam (using rate of USD1= RM3.7)
30/9/2015: USD100,000 also, but using rate of USD1= RM4.40
Hence foreign currency translation of RM70,000 incurred (440,000 - 370,000)
