This counter is a truly gem for long term if one look in deeply.

i think liihen slowly will be supported given that dividend is pretty decent.

Yes, the other investments is actually investment in money market fund. I have clarify personally with the management it's actually have same risks with fixed deposit in the market. you can refer to page 75 of annual report 2015

yes that is the main reason i said within 1- 3 years, i am confident in long term canone business will have no problem earning 100million per annum. Raw materials rise is always something that consumers have to deal with more than manufacturers. Furthermore, F&B is a necessity.

i still have high expectation with canone diary business. The impact of sugar prices hike will be temporary, long term no problem. Canone will be a company that earn 100million per annum in within 1-3 years.

A very conservative view of mine is 40million per annum with uncertain growth prospect easily give me a valuation of tekseng market cap above rm300million
2016-11-18 16:20 | Report Abuse
dont be too greedy daniel, it's already a very good results year to year basis. Especially when Tekseng share market overreacted these few weeks, most panic seller think this quarter will be less than 6 million.
2016-11-18 15:33 | Report Abuse
Prediction of eps 7 this quarter...hmm.
2016-11-18 15:17 | Report Abuse
20mil? That's way optimistic when 12mil is enough for tekseng to boost confidence.

stick to your method if it suits you, all the best to you

I always have no doubts that solar is the future, if tekseng could manage to struggle through these hard times the days are bright in future. Give tekseng sometime and let us see how is the progress

Farlim and Flbhd is in different industry. Property developers need more cash reserves to buy land if they see opportunities. Flbhd is rather different kind of business, that is why cash & equivalents are increasing from 37.56million:2011 to 89million currently. And because there is consistent internal generate real cash profits, this actually provide a rather better cushion and view that which company can give better dividends. Especially this company had no borrowings at the beginning, this is definitely a special case when one insist to look for growth or better earnings bla bla.

insulter, why not you give some useful investment teachings or opinions instead of spreading hatred? Even one promote democracy, posting such writings make no contributions at all.

Results are not terrible when property sectors are already slowing down not only this company. Anyway, valuation given now is already very low.

Good effort, Yistock. Many negatives point has been converted into positive views. Hope your optimistic parts coming true anyway!

If a stock can drop that much, one should always check the reason he/she boughtare still valid. if things haven't get worse, he should buy more instead of setting amount of stop loss. Vice versa, if the reasons he bought in are no longer valid then no many what amount the prices are, he should consider selling. just my opinion

calvintaneng, i always have a tough time wondering why you keep promoting such companies? Nine out of ten companies were bad companies if not facing problems. I can see your capable critical thinking, but why choose these when there are still many good business out there? Are you joking ?

Malaysia trust and mutual funds charge you a surprising high management fees, and most of the time their management fees are higher than fixed deposit rates.

Good try. I am curious that your given figures for ebit, nopat, and invested capital were not same from my derivation in the first place. But i think thats a small matter. Superlon is a good company in my opinion but it does well recent years with favourable forex, even the management has declared themselves repeatedly over and over again. I agreed with you that superlon results were not benefiting much from swinging of forex gain. But in fact, favourable currency price in well to its sales pricing. I don't know how long superlon is able to benefit from these pricing due to competitions. I personally will not pay 180-200million yet for superlon...maybe in future, but not now yet

according to recent prices timber and plywood prices should be high, but why wtk said timber logs prices were low. Furthermore, there's price war as well. Anyone have any insight on when timber logs and plywoods price war will end?

By looking at shh, I am more confident that liihen had done a far superior performance.

Good results but still drop? Wonder what expectations they have?
2016-07-20 23:26 | Report Abuse
One should not take 3 months to date quarter cash flow into serious consideration. Anyway, 17Q1 result meet expectations. Because current price is already value very low, it is reasonable that price is already around bottomed.

The problem is "many investors" that are selling are not concern of dividend and cash flow. They wan super growth prospect. I hope these kind of investors can faster sell out.

It's not entirely fair to compare SHH to liihen, shh is a smaller company comparing to liihen. You can't expect the market to give same valuation with bigger cap and much bigger business, right?

in term of business, this company is doing great. I don't see people worry about this industry because its under commodity business, hevea is definitely undervalued being a commodity company. What concerns me with hevea might be coming commodities price war due to strengthening of USD, will hevea stands bright among competitions?
2016-06-03 00:01 | Report Abuse
Like your analysis, but It is quite controversy to exclude foreign gain/loss from NOPAT in some cases, especially with big difference floatation which in real cases actually help or pull down these companies. A part of revenue numbers come from selling prices (derives from forex currencies), not totally from volumes of sales.
2016-05-28 11:31 | Report Abuse
Stockmanmy, if you happens to dive into timber logs industry in Malaysia that will be a tougher story. the fact is timber logs industry are not transparent in Malaysia, period. Yes, all commodity companies are facing the same commodity prices competition due to currency flotation these days and labour problems given by Malaysia governments. We can see focus lumber are doing work to face these problems already, efficient or not time should be given to prove. Sales volume is actually higher not only merely with better selling prices and wreaking of ringgit. We could all agree higher profit were derived from weaker ringgit thou but export companies do not rely only with forex transaction. A weaker ringgit is a bonus to them. sifus who like to track at cash in balance sheets are true investors who want companies generate true cashflow from inner side not from borrowings and huge debts. What makes focus lumber attractive is not profits prophets...

KC, i agreed and respect that its unwise for you to publish your intrinsic value for reasons. And i couldn't agree more with your concerns with low liquidity, existing of short-term traders, "believers", downside of margin calls and "golden rule" players. However, I find it hard to resist myself from this cash cow bargain. Any advises for me?

Kc, so far my fundamental philosophy on flbhd has not changed yet. Current price 2.04-2.07 already provide me enough margin of safety to sleep well. Mind sharing your price tag for peace of mind too? :)
2016-05-25 14:30 | Report Abuse
i think many panic who blindly follow EPS miss out this forex losses were "unrealised" losses.... these were only for accounting method since flbhd calculated on the end of quarter report day. yes, the fundamental of the company has deteriorated slightly than before but unfortunately it happens to every export company as well. there isn't much thing we can do about it.
2016-05-25 10:24 | Report Abuse
Kc is always a fundamental investor who don't have a trade mindset strategy. Buy to sleep well tomorrow is what he always seek for at the first place.

Even if plywood prices drop it isn't a big issue when timber logs price has fallen as well. Currently, plywood manufacture actually benefit from cheaper timber log prices..

every quarter 10million? appetite so big....
2016-05-13 12:33 | Report Abuse
Its not impossible for flbhd to keep giving out 10million dividend every year. Since they have plenty of real cash flow with minimal capex.. why not?
2016-05-09 21:27 | Report Abuse
RM2.4 is still consider a good entry given that dividend yield is still around 6.25%. Don't worry too much with prices fall, worry if business fundamental falls...
