Recently PADINI has announced of its expansion towards the online retail business. Padini being one of the top companies of work attire and also other sister company definitely has a potential to boom in the country. Statistics shown that most online shoppers (70%) are from the age group of 35 and below, this coincides with the target market of Padini. Not to mention, clothing and apparel are the number 4 top e-Commerce product that are shopped by Malaysian (after flight tickets, vouchers and entertainment). This is definitely the counter that will be moving next.

Cool. Look like a good news and investor should excited about it if it will start generate regular and consistent income. Exciting to see what going to happen in next few weeks.

Yeah, waiting for that. They just need to keep dividend at that level then it really good for me. Of course believe the management will also thinking about the challenge in current market condition as well as how they expand and open more outlet (Brand and Padini concept) outside Klang Valley with potential buyer from those area. For instance Sabah & Sarawak.

Again, proof that good management always the critical criteria to choose investing in the company. Because the risk always lower.

The management are all good peoples. They not only patient and reasonable but they also thinking good about their employee. With this kind of management, investing in their company won't be risky. Use this as reference, I know a little more details because my friend work there and share with me.

@ct888 - you need to provide more data to convince people else just talk like that no one will buy ;-). You just simply say it or really have some insider news. Don't cause people getting poor by invest but help people gettin richer by invest LOL.

Anyway, I mention many times about this counter is for long term investment. Those who think about short term should really not invest in this counter. If not you will curse this and that later :-)

Really? I have different opinion but I could be wrong :-) I strongly believe the buying momentum is there slowly. Given the good dividend plan by Padini top management.

Believe this counter just over react with one contract. Knowing this counter also have a lot of hidden gem. But those gem haven't time yet to harvest. Hope no one get burn later and good luck.

Time fly. When I check roughly when they will announce the next quarter dividend and I notice it about a month from now. Quite looking forward for that. If the quarter result is good then will be double happiness!!! Stay tuned and have great weekend ahead to all the investors and traders.

@Ameera - at least as of today still safe to hold. Reason I say that because the NTA of this stock at between 0.4 to 0.42. By right it should be very attractive and people with long term investment should get in now bit by bit.
Assumption:
1). The reference websites I check for NTA provide accurate data.
2). The company did not make any fake financial statement or anything similar to that.

I personally got quite a bit at various price. So treat this as references for your investment.

LOL... Many small investor like us get stuck at this counter for sometime already. As I mention before if you can hold then just leave it if can't and want to invest in other counter then just sell it. No one know when this counter will move.

It's been a while I did not comment for Padini. Many won't understand when we say paying hood dividend as many won't buy and hold stock for long term. Also it depend what price they buy. For those that hold this counter for years then they will definitely appreciate this stock future value. Really, if they continue to give dividend regardless their share price I'm happy to hold it :-)

Those who know me already know I been holding this counter for years. Good momentum of share price latest and expected to continue more upward slowly and steadily. Hopefully this time with less investor and play short term buy & leave type :-). Of course I know that is impossible.

Share buy back is very common. Nothing new and special. Also need to remember, even with approval they not suppose to simply buy back the share. They need to buy at right timing with right price. For example, if current price consider high then they will wait till it go down a bit before start the buy back activity. Buy back at high price does not make good to the company. Just my two cents.

@sell - do you still hold any Padini stock? Or you are here to advice people to sell Padini stock?

We can't control the market situation and speculation. But one thing is under you control - your decision to buy or don't this counter is all up to you :-) really need to think what make you buy this counter and what don't. If you have stronger and valid reason to buy this counter than don't then no harm buying. If not then better stay away from this counter :-) just my two cents.

Hi Chong, thanks for sharing. It's an interesting reading and learn some new stuff there. I do personally feel this counter is a good choice of investment at the current market condition. I do hold quite a number of lots too. About 4 years till now. Would like to see what the management will do to in near future. I still have strong believe in their top management I know o could be wrong but if for those who invest at least medium to long term should be appreciate the return of this stock given the current price.

This stock should at least worth RM1.78 in near future.

@Mat Cendana - this counter not depend on news it seem like depend on mood rather :-) Just kidding but really depend on individual what they are looking at when invest in a company. Look for management? Don't think people agree. Look for future? May be. Look for their potential business? Look like it. Looking for their asset and NTA? At least I'm looking at that. Unless that figure that is publish publicly not accurate then I might get trap :-) Anyway, investment is like that some time we win and make money (I mean really big money) some time we lost and lost horribly and this is part of life. Else might as well put the money in FD which not need to worry as It will definitely make money over time and pay half of the GST we need to pay to our government.

@khlim2889 - you ask a tough question that no one know the definite answer. If you plan for long term yes. But then you need to prepare because people that buy lately will throw to make the 5-10% profit. Yes, that what they looking for but for them that good enough which they make in within a months.

So in short if you can take the pressure and sail with this counter then you may make a awesome profit in coming years. As some have highlight with today price they still consider undervalue counter. Check my post some time back about their automation initiative. Once they success, then good story will come as it's not only save cost (less headcount needed) yes can produce more glove at much cheaper price.

The next things, hope they can implement the same for other plant with less invest or at least for sure all new plant will be automated and hope it fully automated :-) for example the whole factory only need 5-8 people's (well this one I simply create it not what they plan for) I just dream big.

@Harvest1983 - I'm a bit conservative and let assume some quarter no did so well. So being a conservative person I will give a 10% discount therefore RM7.58 and RM8.42 assuming all your data are correct.
