toffeemoose, i think a lot has changed since a decade ago. They are more established nowadays having more resources, experience & expertise to steer the company forward.

I'm still very confident that Myeg will benefit and roll out more e-services when the New Malaysia is undergoing the digital transformation. Everything will be about digital and online.

Even parking tickets using apps in Selangor and Perak now and soon in other states. Will this be another areas for Myeg? Hehe

It doesn't work when selldown reversal starts which is already happening after it hits 1.13

One thing for sure is that shortselling will have to come to an end when reversal kicks in be in in TA, FA or sentiments.

A well played out shortselling strategy does not necessarily requires settlement but if that is the case then bad sentiment and mass selling caused by fear among retailers easily expedite the selldown.

It depends what kind of shortsellers they are. From a peak of 1.36 or probably the shortselling trend started off at 1.30 and descending to 1.13 that is a 13% reduction enough for them to create another potential upside at a later stage. Remember myeg's share price was massively absorbed at 1.30 before the heavy selldown? The same entity might have accumulated in large quantities though they know most will sell their shares at high. It's all part of the strategy they planned out.

Shortsellers are those with shares on hand trying to sell and hopefully market price gets lower then they do buybacks at lower to reap gains. In the event share price doesn't go any lower and they already sold out in open market, they stand to lose their shareholding and forced to buyback higher than they sold thus they suffer losses when attempting to do shortselling. It can be beneficial during negative sentiment for a stock but when the falling trend reversal happens thus a rebound in share price, they stand to lose.

hamzimpiang, i observe that for an uptrend stock if its pullback from recent peak retraces down to fib line 38% is actually an indication the uptrend continues from that point onward. Correct me if i'm wrong

The share price pullback for past 4 days is actually been expected since no share price can go up in one straight line

I dun trust analysts...they all given lower TP 1-1.06 before but myeg rallied way higher to 1.36 so I dun need anymore TP given by analysts. They can pack & go home lol

Dumb or not, do take advantage of the share price weakness. Just remember that it won't stay at this level forever. U should only get worried if it doesn't look out for M&A or new ventures elsewhere beyond its current stable of businesses. Its near term catalyst would be the remittance service with bangladesh where it might have flat fee charges for each transactions.

Seeing it to rebound beyond current level. The 1.14 should be the baseline support which acts as the fort. That is still on the technical perspective. So u will have to monitor its directional movement. Our gang accumulated a lot since last friday because we think the selldown is overdone due to sentiment.

Why do u compare qoq? Should compare yoy better because myeg's business is based on seasonality factor due to renewals.
