ronaldo96 - I don't know if you trade using TA. It is good to have a trading plan so that we know when to cut loss and when to take profits. Sometimes after all the TA analysis, the market can still go against us and this is where the stop loss comes in useful to minimize our loss.
There is weakness in RSawit at the moment but its volume is low, way below its average daily volume. I bought RSawit for medium term trade but if it hits my stop loss price, I will cut loss if necessary. As long as you have a stop loss price in place, we just trade according to our plan. Minimizing losses and maximizing profits.

Matrix - It was a long long time ago that I went to Cyprus. Generally, I am attracted to her historical sites like castles and archaelogical sites and church and I remember there was a pretty big monastery. They have quite a number of Unesco heritage sites.
Stayed at Limassol and rented a car to get around the whole island. A safe place to move around and hardly any traffic jams and their petrol stations are operated on auto pay system just like here. The local attractions are easy to find, just like Penang during the olden days of lesser traffic. We drove up to the mountains, a day trip, and I particularly liked the locally prepared fish there.
Nicosia is interesting as one part of the town is bordered up by Turkish army to divide the territory between the Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots. Get too near the guards and the Turkish soldiers will aim their machine guns at you. There are lots of European visitors there and in the summer, lots of bikini clad gals to ogle at!
If you like travelling on your own at a leisurely pace with self discovery tours, then this is a nice place to visit. Not a popular tourist target for Asians but the Europeans love it.
Sorry to digress from the share forum.

Ronaldo96 - RSawit: Just to add, it is worth noting that from the breakout price on 5/3, its price has retraced 62%. So, the support at 0.83/0.835 should hold pretty well assuming no external shock to the market. (I am also trading RSawit)

novice8 - Ok, happy for you. I am a fan of Arsene Wenger and I kinda like Arsenal too especially their style of play but can get frustrating when they try to pass the ball into goal. But this season they were better at scoring with Giroud in the team.
Crossmics - yes, you are right.

Matrix - that is a very good idea.
Share out the analysis and anyone can discuss about it. I did that when Matrix first started this thread and I found it to be a good way to enhance my TA learnings . I know there are many good TA traders visiting this thread and their contribution would be useful too.
I might have mentioned this before but one of the things that I do and I still do it, is to do a parallel analysis of the counters that some visitors requested here (even though you don't trade the counter) and compare it to Matrix analysis. Very quickly, your TA knowledge will increase by leaps and bounds and a good way to hone yr TA skills. And ultimately, everyone profits from the share mkt.
Thankfully, there are a lot of helpful and unselfish people here like Sephiroth, SF, Ulutrader just to name a few.

Matrix - just to follow through on Protasco. I remember you did do a TA on this earlier at the request of someone.
Protasco is breaking out today with volume as suggested by you earlier into uncharted territory. It has a very strong support base at 1.63. It has broken through its TP1 of 1.74 today and should be testing TP2 of 1.90 and TP3 of 2.16 in the near foreseeable future. Very strong buying momentum. Have been accumulating around 1.60 and have scaled in more upon breakout.
Catalyst: strong performance in its construction business and its entry into the O&G sector in Indonesia.
Earlier analysis by Matrix:
PRTASCO—Very Bullish stage 2 of the cycle, the uptrend is very much intact. After breaking out of $1.54 on 21/02 (Carry an estimated target of $1.70) with volume it hit a new high of $1.61 on 24/02 and consolidated to lows of $1.48 on 03/03/14. Yesterday it rebounded with a Big White Candle from this low which is Bullish. A break above $1.61 with volume will take it to uncharted territory with its immediate Target of $1.70 & beyond.
P/S: You were right. Elated with the Liverpool win. Was smiling from cheek to cheek even when sleeping and my wife thought I won a lottery! But seriously, I have always admired the way Man Utd play and the way Sir Alex managed the club for so long and stay on top. Hope Liverpool can follow this path. Gotta enjoy it while we can before Man Utd bounces back later. Cheers.

Matrix - yes, does sounds like many Barakah investors. I have been trading this counter since it was first re-listed and have been trading its trends since from 0.98sen. Have been buying in at every consolidation phase and locked in profits at every rally.
There is a lot of upside potentials to Barakah and its trend is quite predictable but volatile at times. THis time round, I will be locking in profits quicker in view of the weak and uncertain external global environment. THe next catalyst is the potential Saudi project which many investors are waiting for.
Good to be able to plan for your year end holiday. I was told that Turkey is a nice country to visit. I have not been there but I took a peek into the country from Cyprus when I was there and it does look scenic from afar. You should consider Cyprus someday too. Nice place like Penang minus the traffic.

Barakah is going into a consolidation phase and 1.50 is so far proving to be a strong support level. Heavy selling pressure has also diminished.

novice8/vivi - sales of the treasury share will increase their cash position but not the EPS. My view on the T shares:
Short term - may cap the share price increase depending on how investors and punters look at it. If Langat 2 and old pipe replacements are seen as being implemented soon, investors may still want to buy in first for fear of losing out later. Hence, potential uptrend.
Medium to long term - assuming wise management which so far they have demonstrated to be, the increased cash position will add financial muscle for Engtex to expand its business. Outlook: positive.
So, either way you look at it, it is positive for the company. I have not yet calculated its intrinsic value, but I can guess that its intrinsic value, based on the free cash flow method, will increase. But, my take is that as traders in the share, we trade accordingly using TA as a guide based on our trading plan. If you are trading based on FA, it would depend on whether you want to go long or short, thus strategy will be different.
I am more skewed towards trading on TA but in good FA companies. So, I time my entry and exit based on TA.

vivi - Engtex momentum is slowing and is headed into a consolidation phase. I have locked in profits on most of my Engtex holdings and may liquidate the remaining if weakness persist.
Matrix - are you still holding on to Engtex?

stay_foolish - I have just started trading RSawit too. My analysis on this stock:
The bullish reversal pattern (based on the weekly chart) came on the weeks of 24/1 and 31/1 when a bullish engulfing pattern was formed. Selling pressures were well absorbed and it tested its resistance price of 0.86 during the week of 7/3 with high volume which was subsequently broken the following week. It is on a bullish trend.
The immediate price support is 0.84, if broken, should find strong support at the next level of 0.815/0.805. Immediate resistance is 0.92/0.93. Target price 1 is 0.90 and target price 2 is 0.96. My stop loss is 0.82.
Catalyst: palm oil price is bullish and is expected to break RM3000 per metric ton due the the dry weather conditions. RSawit also had improved financial data based on its latest financial statements.

matrix - I was passing by Bkt Jalil Stadium today and saw the Brooks run. I presume this is the run you were participating in. Many of the runners were walking up the the sloping road and only 2 were running. So, I can imagine it must be a tough run and the haze certainly did not make it any easier.
It is indeed sad that the MAS plane has still not been found. Can feel for the agonizing families. Hopefully, the plane can be found soon so that there can a closure for these families.

lee9fold - my view on Silk: immediate support = 0.60 ; major support = 0.55 ; immediate resistance = 0.655. The downside risk is limited even taking into account the Ukraine crisis and could be an opportunity to accumulate further. It attempted to break 0.65 yesterday but profit taking by those who bought on 3/3 & 4/3, as expected, checked its momentum. Overall I see sellers exhaustion and it could form a base around 0.60. I would set a stop loss at 0.58.
Note: this is not a suggestion/recommendation to trade Silk. Different investors have a different take on this counter. No one is wrong but different people can see things differently. Also, the Ukraine crisis is still a very volatile situation.

Matrix - I see you will be coming back from nature's fresh air to the urban haze. I thought last year you went there too, right? Must be an annual retreat for you. How nice. In any case, welcome back.
I scaled in to Engtex too at about 1.89 when its price held its ground inspite of the Ukraine crisis. We can expect more upside in the days ahead and I am expecting it to break and stay above 2.00.

inwest - thank you for your suggestion. Much appreciated. Actually, I have 2 portfolios - one for trading (my short term portfolio) and one more where I invest in good FA stocks (my medium to long term portfolio). When the market turns down like yesterday, I would accumulate good FA stocks if the price is right but usually as you know, good FA stks don't fluctuate a lot and in fact some of them went up yesterday.
Thanks a lot for your well intended and unselfish advise. By the way, congratulations on your profits. Have a profitable day. Looks like the panic selling has subsided today.

Matrix - Congratulations on your Redtone profits. Sorry, did not have time to post on Latitude as I was locking in profits for a portion of my Protasco as it hit my TP1 of 1.90 but only managed to sell at 1.89.
Latitude: Gapped up on 10/2 on high volume with 2.26 as the new support price. It attempted to scale new highs on 20/2 but formed a dark cloud. Subsequently trended down and has been in a consolidation phase since 6/3. Started trending up on 19/3 and it broke above the downtrend line today when it opened at 2.60. Volume has picked up (average volume = 640,685), although not significantly very high and momentum is gaining ground. I reckon it is in the early stage of another phase of bullish trend.
Immediate support price = 2.46. Will have strong support at 2.40 if broken through. Resistance price = 2.82.
Catalyst: Exports furniture mainly to the US and the US economy is recovering. It has a calculated intrinsic value of 6.13 (by kcchongnz)and at today's closing price, has a trading safety margin of 56%, a fairly high margin.
Matrix, pls feel free to add your input.
