Petronas awards 13-package RM10bil contract to local firms
KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas has awarded a major 13-package, five-year offshore services contract with a total work value of about RM10bil to six local providers.
The Pan Malaysia Integrated Hook-Up and Commissioning and Topside Major Maintenance Contract was awarded to Kencana HL Sdn Bhd, Dayang Enterprise Sdn Bhd, Petra Resources Sdn Bhd, PBVJ Sdn Bhd, Carimin Engineering Services Sdn Bhd and Sigur Ros Sdn Bhd for five years beginning this year. The contract involves hook-up, commissioning, maintenance services for offshore facilities and manpower requirements for the execution of the respective work scope.
"The award of this major contract is PETRONAS' acknowledgment of the capability of local service providers, including Bumiputera companies," said Petronas Vice President of Petroleum Management Ramlan A. Malek in a statement today.
The six contractors will be providing hook-up and commissioning and topside major maintenance services to nine Petronas production sharing contractors, including Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd, Sarawak Shell Bhd, Sabah Shell Petroleum Co Ltd and ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc.
The Pan Malaysia Integrated Hook-Up and Commissioning and Topside Major Maintenance Contract is one of Petronas' largest service contracts currently in place.
It is part of Petronas' continuous efforts to further optimise project deliveries and offshore activities in terms of costs and schedule while at the same time drive and support the growth of capabilities among Malaysian service contractors. - Bernama

The next job for BARAKAH will be the much awaited 8 billion Pan Malaysia’s 'Integrated Transportation & Installation' Project. The stock would be valued at a much higher valuation of RM2.63/share
Their strong connection with PETRONAS

Current orderbook stands at RM775m while tender book is significant at RM6.1b. The company is confident of securing RM500m-RM600m new contracts per annum for the next three years on: (i) continued growth in market share in the commissioning segment, and (ii) increased subcontract work in the T&I space.
The group to achieve RM38.0m (+14.5% YoY), RM49.0m (+28.9% YoY) and RM73.1m (+49.2% YoY) of net profits in FY13, FY14 and FY15, respectively. Its FY13, FY14 and FY15 turnovers, meanwhile, are expected at RM287.0m (+42.1% YoY), RM435.0m (+51.5% YoY) and RM522.8m (+20.2% YoY), respectively. Drivers for the significant growth in revenue are: (i) better opportunity in T&I segment and (ii) continued growth of market share in the commissioning segment.
Assuming Barakah manages to secure a whole package of the 8 billion Pan Malaysia’s 'Integrated Transportation & Installation' Project (T&I) by 4Q13-1H14, the stock would be valued at a much higher valuation of RM2.63/share
The group’s dedicated management team has an excellent historical track record in formulating and implementing strategic plans and posses delivery track record with zero long-term injuries since 2000. The group is led by an experienced Board with vast experiences in various senior leadership and operational positions in the oil and gas sector, especially in offshore pipeline installation.

Assumption: PE of 20x; based on EPS CAGR of *20%p.a (*high, but ok, EPS 2013 5.80c )over the next 3 yrs.
Result: I only see a price of Rm 2.00 based on FYE 2016 earnings per share. Please correct me here if I am wrong. Thks

I am compounding EPS 2013 of 5.80c by '20%' p.a for 3 years in view of these goodies to come. I think it is reasonable

As it stand now, they r basically 'fronloading' many years of potential growth into the current price. This is essentially stealing the future earnings from potential shareholders. Nevertheless, it is an atttactive stock at a fairly reasonable price mentioned above. Give others also a chance mah!
Second Posting: I am willing to wait for it to retrace, and has instructed by remeiser to standby for 100 lots. Maybe not exactly Rm 2.00, but Rm 2.20 why not! By the way , I am not any 'amateur analyst'; 'CFA' my dear friend. I have seen this run-up and ' boleh lah' many times. Just being conservative, it always pays in the end. Anyway this is my professional opinion, "not a call to buy/sell".

looks like this downtrend will continue into tomorrow !
PM Corp sadly lacks a definite marketing & a strong branding strategy for its core chocolate business in Malaysia. Media coverage of its great choc product range is grossly lacking. Nobody knows its market share in the Chocolate Confectionery Industry in Malaysia, so dominated by Cadbury and Nestle. My observation at the main hypermarkets is that Cadbury and Kit Kat chocolates are flyin off the shelves; Ferrero Rocher (standard boxed assortments), has its own established higher income niche market; followed by Kinder Bueno and Kinder Joy etc. Our (NFI) chocolates are there, but consumers are not much in the know. I feel bad when they keep on diggin into Cadbury chocs like they r going out of fashion!
Lets get realistic here! We as shareholders would like to see increased revenue from its core 'chocolate business' in Q3 2013 earnings; apart from those proceeds from asset realization. One should also not harp about imminent increase in NTA from expected gains from undervalued assets e.g. quoted shares, properties etc, which are not booked yet! Focus should be on ‘sales’, our chocs at the hypermarket shelves!

P/E is at 23.6x based on 2012 earnings . q on q earnings for 2013 is lower than 2012 thus far. In 2012, the co chalked up average quarterly revenue of RM 264m; and total revenue was RM 1.056b. I doubt 2013 can top RM 1.056b, judging by the 2013 quarterly earnings available so far; and 2 more quarters results to come ( 3rd quarter pending).
