Serba have s serious governance issue. They deploy "taukey" strategy to run the business & plan thier expansion haphazardly to the detrimemt of minority shareholder interest. The taukey continue to dilute shareholders shareholdibgs by bringing in "crony" shareholders at attractive prices leaving small shareholders to eat shit. Serba to me miserably fail the ESG test.

Investors and punters alike are well advised to at least understand basic fundamental analysis. This will help in making informed investment decision. Those outside noises may be loud but will not help.

Why does LCT share price defy investors pessismitic sentiment? The answer lies in the fundamental evaluation notably in computing the sustainable earnings. For one, LCT is not making a loss. For 2 consecutive qtrs now, LCT hv posted net profits (averaging RM80 mil) but however below investors expectation. Quarter 4 are expected to post net profit but an a sligtly larger amount than Q2 & Q3. At the same time, it has cumulative cash position of RM4 billion or abt RM1.70 per share as the base with little risk of it burning the cash because LCT is profitable operationally on its own. A sustainable earnings of lets say RM100 mil every qtr wld translate to annualised EPS of 17 sen. Applying a PE of gives you an intrinsic price of RM1.70. So plus the cash per share, RM3.40 being the intrinsic value is not a suprise for as long as LCT sustains its profitability and as conditions continue to improve as exhibited by its results and expected results. So not surprising the resilience of LCT share price at current levels.

titan3322 A respectable performance which could potentially sustained over the next few quarters. A conservative PE of 10 (well below PetChem) wld give a price target of RM4.

With lower naptha costs where LCT took 2 recent cargo shipments in Oct (@USD 390+), firm PP prices but rather stable butadine prices & high plant utlization rate (90% or more) and assuming no adverse performance from US associate arising from recent hurricanes, bottomline of RM300 is quite achievable for Q3 running into RM400 million in Q4. With div policy of 40% and DRS (potentially building cash inventory to more than RM4 billion), share price potentially could reach RM5 by December.

2018-04-27 12:25 | Report Abuse
if the share price hits RM7.50 by May, LCT Titan will be in the KLSE Composite Index (competing with Hartalega and Dialog). The advantage to LCT is that its even at RM7.50, the prospective PE will only be around 11 times. The market PE is currenty around 15.6 times. LCT remains largely undervalued.

Folks, thought of giving another reminder below:
The reputation of Ekovest is now damaged. There is now a trust deficit and perceived as having weak corporate governance practices. Its independepent directors are no longer considered a bastion to defend the interest of the company. Ekovest share price can only recover if all the current independent directtors resigned and be replaced. If not, similar dodgy proposals and transaction will recur in the future and there’s no one from Ekovest independent board of directors can be expected to perform and discharge their fiduciary duty prefessionally. So many investors have been hurt since the announcement of this proposal and wiped out billions im capitalisation and investors wealth. So folks, dont expect Ekovest share price to recover very soon until they clean up the Boards. The institutional funds are running in droves!!

The EGM decision yesterday was the correct one. But the corporate action in it self invites questionable practices. Its called bad corporate governance practices. Especially the action of its independent directors. Trust and confidence has gone. Kapushhh..

The perception of independence matters most when you have this sort of big ticket non-recurring related-party transaction that have huge impact on valuation and share price. And this is one glaring example. You can clearly see the kind of damage it has inflicted.

The problem with MRCB is that it appears to irresponsive and nontransparent about its dealing with the Govt on EDL toll removal. No updates and no additional announcements for all shareholders to make informed decision. This is super ugly and bad corporate governance practices and minority shareholders are at the losing end. Not only that, EPF members are also losing out since EPF is the majority shareholder of MRCB. If you’re negotiating with the Govt on the compensation, then provide periodical updates thru Bursa announcement. I wonder why the total silence? Is it to bail out BN for the GE? This is bad corporate governance practices and investors like me hate this sort of unbecoming corporate behaviour.

Minority shareholders must send a signal. Reprimand the indeoendent directors for not acting in the best interest of Ekovest despite the damning information abt IWCity’s gloom prospects and the high levrl of risks it posed to Ekovest. If Ekovest minority shareholders were to go down tommorow, then go down fighting and show that you are a MAN.

Minority shareholders at the AGM should voice out strongly against its independent directors who are a bunch of jokers who could not make a simple assessment - that the current corporate exercise is to detriment of Ekovest and its minority shareholders. Just read the risk factors section. Too many uncertainties eg “no assurance by Greenland that it will honour its obligation to pay..”. How in the world could Ekovest independent ditectors say the proposal is in the best interest of the company? I say move a motion during the EGM to remove all these useless independent directors!!!!!
