DBT (direct business transaction), means selling to inside parties or related parties. Right hand to left hand transaction. That's hardly selling.

QL might be a good gamble. CHIA is holding a lot of warrants. Highly doubt he will let it expire worthless.

That one is known already. Issuance of warrants and new shares to fund the development is normal too. If you believe you can hold. But I believe EX-date should see the share trading below support level.
Anyhow, why does it seem like any Tom Dick and Harry companies these days diversify into property development? How many will actually see fruition?
Just something to ponder.

U gotta hate rights issues. Because if you dont subscribe, your holdings are watered down.
That is BAD

Nobody knows unless he/she is part of the syndicate.
If I'm the stock promoter, of course I'll ask you to bet everything you've got.

NTA Per Share RM3.50
-Most O&G counters trade above their NTA
3rd Qtr Spectacular Result
-They turned a spectacular 90% of the profit in 3rd Qtr alone!
-Wonder if they can turn the same in the 4th Quarter.
-If they do, then can expect NTA Per share to increase, along with EPS.
Dividends on March 2013!
So, what's not to like?

Chillout peeps. It was an honest mistake. After all, this is a discussion forum.

Petron is a value buy.
They made up their losses on the 3rd Quarter.
Whether they repeat the same profits on 4th Quarter or not doesnt matter. They have already turned a profit for the financial year.
If they turn the same spectacular profit in 4th Quarter, then EPS should jump significantly.

Shell's not making money. Why buy a loss-making counter? There's probably a lot of OLD MONEY in it that is not willing to sell yet. Which makes it an even better short opportunity.
By the by, I'm a bull for Petron M.

I have dealt with the advertising industry enough to understand AMEDIA's business at least better than your usual ANALysts. No matter what, your fee is usually the same, and the only way you can grow your income is to get more eyeballs, Or Charge MORE. With the way the industry is going, brands prefer to invest on online marketing campaigns, as well as experiential campaigns. So, unless you see a growth in BUSES on the street, or AMEDIA signs MRT and LRT, then you have more growth coming.
2013-01-08 17:36 | Report Abuse
Hidden GEM to me should be PETRONM, no doubt about that.
Just do your studies and research carefully on this company. I trust all are seasoned investors here, no need for long winded explanation.
2013-01-08 17:35 | Report Abuse
Amedia is a speculative stock. There's nothing much to its business, as it has already peaked in terms of earnings capabilities. You just need to look at the earnings growth. Unless of course, they get onto the MRT, and LRT. Or onto more buses. Yes, the advertising industry is big, but the focus these days is ONLINE marketing. I've personally spoken to the GM. I see limited growth options for now. And no, I'm not ANALyst.
Until they proven otherwise, this is just for speculation.

So when will punters understand that the best slice of the beef is not reserved for them?
Business Times Malaysia has spun a lot of rumor lately, XOX takeover by TSSM, and now this?
2013-01-07 19:23 | Report Abuse
like i said earlier, if so good, then they might as well privatise it, or slowly collect, and upon getting the contract only announce.
Bidding news might be true, but they might NOT get the concession as well. :)
wish punters the best of luck!

if something is so good, everyone would be rushing in to buy it up to RM2.00 now
Never believe in news. Most are rumors. If really so profitable, then insiders would have privatised the company in the first place.

no one looking at Petron?
Lowest P/E amongst O&G counters. Can expect Oil price to surge upwards anytime soon. Owns around 500 stations, 2nd biggest player in Malaysia as compared to Petronas. Has plenty of potential, and potentially signing supply deal with Malindo come June 2013

I've been told of potential privatisation plans for DRB HICOM. That should explain the reasoning behind the paydown of debts. After nursing Proton into profitability, they could possibly re-list it.

2012-12-31 00:05 | Report Abuse
we'll see how it goes tomorrow. window dressing time! I bet a lot of funds are holding DRBHICOM.
nevertheless, for retailers, it's not too late to enter now. Even at RM3.00 it is still too undervalued. Considering Proton was bought out at RM5.50.
DRB HICOM before buyout was worth RM2.00 range. That said, DRBHICOM should be worth a combined value of both AT LEAST.
There's minimal risk for retailers to enter now. Prepare for January effect!!! Liquidity is expected to spike, additionally thanks to unlimited money printing by world governments.

one of the factors that could be pushing up the price should be related to cheaper YEN. Bank of Japan has promised Unlimited Quantitative Easing. That said, USD/JPY should push to at least 90 or 100. Imports from Japan should cheapen considerably, thus increasing DRB HICOM's profit margin on Honda, Suzuki and other Japanese brands that it currently sells.

Patience is key. Since shares are pledged for securing a loan, we all know there's a floor to it. Perhaps 70% of the value, with 30% safety margin. THUS, it is in the management's interest to keep the price higher, or face forced selling. Additionally, NEXT-NAT is undervalued when you compare net assets per share. If they want to dabble in bigger deals, they have to make sure their share price is of a certain level for reputation sake.
NEXT-NAT should carry a value of at least RM0.45, based on average P/E of 13, with and expectation that its EPS would double as a result of its aggressive expansion projects.

Never imagined Kenanga Capital for a Gunslinging-type bank.
They have probably raised enough money through borrowing to pay for the land and construction in Cyberjaya. Could be the extra dough is used to purchase more NextNat shares.
